Andrew Webber was a Former US Army Officer Who Fought for Ukraine. His Story is Inspiring

Andrew Webber was a West Point graduate and former U.S. Army infantry officer. He had three deployments while an Army officer, held two commands, and received many awards including the Purple Heart.
After Putin’s invasion he left his job as a corporate lawyer in Seattle and volunteered to fight for Ukraine. Before his death he gave his body armor to one of his Ukrainian teammates. Shortly after, he was fatally injured in an area where his armor would have protected him. Andrew was killed fighting in Ukraine in July 2023.
I think this is a great example of how the American spirit sides with Ukraine’s right to self-autonomy and their resistance to Russia’s invasion.
I expect we will always arogue over how to best support Ukraine, including how much money or arms to send. But I hope all Americans reflect on what Ukraine is facing and how their willingness to fight for their own freedom deserves our support, especially since our country was founded as a resistance to oppression from a more powerful nation.
Andrew’s story is sad but inspiring.

It’s an example of a guy that probably didn’t know what to do with his life after the Army and ended up throwing it away for a useless war. If he had lived to be an old man he’d look back at how stupid that was.

He was a lawyer in a large firm in Seattle. Hardly the type you could describe as "not knowing what to do" after the service.

Ukranians were stupid thinking they were going to allow Western aggression to put bases in their lands and a navy base in crimea and Russia would just sit around and let that happen. They fricked around and now they are finding out. Paying the iron price for letting themself be a pawn between 2 powers. When this nato war is over they will lose close to half of their country, a shite ton of people, and whats left will be enslaved to Blackrock. Such a stupid stupid decision.

In both the Heer AND the Waffen SS.
The WSS had volunteer units from several European and even some Asian countries.
