It will now cost $21 in tolls to pull a trailer over the Leeville Toll Bridge. Pretty much everyone pulling a trailer will be over 35'.

Looks like I'll be launching in Leeville ALOT more now.

Absolutely ridiculous

That’s outrageous. I guess we now know how DOT is paying for the new expressway.
Grand Isle camp owners should get a 50% discount.

Yep. frick em. I'll drive my boat to the camp.

That launch under the bridge is pretty nice, and looking nicer every day.

Don't get a geaux pass and yank the plate off your boat trailer.
Posted on 2/28/24 at 7:21 am to CHEDBALLZ
Kayak in back with tailgate down and they can't read the plate.

Surprise Surprise. Bell Chase is implementing a toll as well. It is 1/2 the cost of this one though.

To go from Covington to Grand Isle with a boat must cost a got damn fortune now
Posted on 2/28/24 at 7:48 am to Jsand43
At least that money is being well spent on road improvements and repairs

Got to have some discount passes for camp owners. We go every weekend..

Those rates have been in effect for a couple months now.
If you plan to be down there a bunch you're probably better off getting a GeauxPass as I'd imagine the pay-by-plate system is $0.90 more but they'll likely also be some stupid $4 convenience fee for paying it online.

it wouldn't hurt them one bit to give residents a break. they'll make all the money they can steal from industry in Fourchon. they don't need recreational dollars

Everyone "wants" toll roads because they think everyone else is going to be paying for it, not them.
Until a toll road is put in on a road you rely on and then the tune quickly changes.

They do offer a discount to locals for residents of Grand Isle & Fourchon but I assume you'd have to prove you actually live there. I can't find any information on the rate though.
They also offer a non-resident commuter pass for people who work down there, but you have to make 20 trips in 60 days to qualify, and the rate is $2.70/trip instead of $4.50.
