Queef is hoping Kelly fails. His excuse making for McMahon is fricking great though
He just loves seeing other low IQ people like himself in high paying jobs. Gives him hope that one day his nutria eat meat processing business will take off and he can afford a trip to Churches Chicken.

Judging by the downvotes apparently you haven’t learned your lesson either.

That means that he will always be in the action. He isn't going to just be a true inside backer.
I will say he has plenty to learn in the run game with fits and angles. Baker will get him there.

Different type of defense and ILB responsibility.

When will the Parsons comparisons stop? Probably when Russel Shepard throws a pass.
I trust Baker and Kelly got together and have a plan.

He’s needs to either Bulk Waaaaay up and play BOLB. like get to 235-245 or Trim down and become a true safety. Which honestly I wouldnt hate. Dude is fast, he is strong. I bet he would be strong in run support, has shown the ability to read the ball in zone. and you can still blitz him /bring him up to the line. Or become one of the 2 LB on the field in Nickel. Who I would cal ILB
I agree with most of your post except the "he is strong". Not from what I saw. Too many times, he was in position to make a tackle and the ball carrier simply pulled free. His strength or lack thereof is his major liability...assets are obvious great speed, football saavy, great hustle, etc

I thinj there are also plenty of
time he barely had a hand in a guy and was able to bring him down.
People tend to remember mistakes
more than good not great moments.
and of course that relatively speaking. He’s stronger than Burns and Adams were.
Probably not as strong as Wingo

I have given him credit for your first point before. You know the way you miss a lot of tackles? You actually get to the play! But still...missed 6 tackles in the Ole Miss game and that wasn't an outlier. And he isn't one of these, "hey I'm going to show how tough I am and just try to shock the guy down with a big hit." He tries to form tackle which is good but many times the player is simply bigger/stronger than he is. He needs to get stronger...pure and simple.

Blake Baker is a LB savant. Perk needs to blitz from everywhere while also doing actual LB things. He cant just line up outside and run.

Let the Coaches coach
Like Kelly and House did last year. Perkins is an absolute weapon and disruptive force when coming off the edge. Why are the coaches overthinking this ?

How many sacks did he have off the edge?
ETA: you can downvote all you want. If you say he was a beast at edge, but you cannot quantify that, then I can't take your argument seriously.
He had 4 btw. Out of 8 Total. Its revisionist history to act like he dominated every game from the edge position. He did not.
he's got a world of talent but he's not an edge rusher. Too small and only has one move. He's an off ball LB that should blitz from everywhere possible.

More than anyone else on the team despite most of those players rushing the passer a lot more than he did. In his first two seasons he has more sacks than Mingo did in his final 2 years at LSU again rushing the passer a lot less than Mingo did.

This is true, but 3 of those were vs a crap arkansas team. Also have of those were from a spy position where he waited for the QB to break the pocket before he chased him down.

Mingo is an interior linemen.
Perkins is a fine situational edge rusher, but he isn’t a DE
you definitly don’t want to stop rushing him all together, but he can’t be taken out of the game on 1st down and other run situations.
this has to be about adding to his arsenal not changing him

I've never understood the infatuation with Perkins rushing from the edge. If you look at the numbers he's gotten more sacks spying from the stack linebacker position.

They won't hear it. its mind numbing talking to some of these people.
Look at all of the sack leaders a year ago, all are 235lb+. Most are around 250lbs. you know why? a 220lb guy only has one move vs 300lb OL, speed. If he doesn't get home at the snap, the OL has him until he wants him to go.

10 pounds is a massive difference and Perkins actually lost weight after his first season. Boy needs to eat

I agree with you, he’s not a DE for sure but he does need to be rushing the passer on 3rd and long or other obvious passing downs.

OP criticizes Brian Kelly any chance he gets but throws a temper tantrum if you dare say anything remotely negative about Matt McMahon and our losing-record basketball team
