I don't know why they'd have any feelings about it at all. It rarely involves them.

If they were...they wouldn't have lost to San Diego St.

Eta: UConn was also playing at a super high level towards the end of season. They would have beaten that Alabama team quite easily.

I don't hate it at all. In fact, I adore it. But from a logical perspective, it's still a dumb concept.

I've made the point many times. Kentucky has 8 national titles. Often Kentucky basketball is compared to Alabama football. And of course Alabama fans point out how many more titles they have than we do. My counterpoint is always the arbitrary nature of the NCAA tournament. If the basketball champ was decided by pollsters, BCS, and a 4 team playoff Kentucky would have upwards of 30 national titles. It's apples to oranges.

I like the baseball format where you're not one and done. Football, hockey and basketball creates chaos with upsets which is always fun. At least with baseball if you get smoked by a bad team you can still come back and escape your regional. All formats are fine the way they are.

Is the Tournament a great way to determine the best team? No

Do I care? Not in the slightest

Agree. 60 undeserving teams competing. Ridiculous.

Bama best last year. Disagree. Live and die by 3 will never work.

MLB and NBA have the best way (not most fun to watch) to determine the best team.

If you win multiple 5/7 game series, its pretty clear you are the best team.

Also UCONN beat Bama by 15 in the regular season last year

Nate Oats style won't go far in March. They are too reliant on the 3. You have a team that defends well, they will get beat

Are we just pretending that Villanova didn’t reach 4 final fours and win 2 tournaments in the last decade playing the exact same style?

Yes, but that Villanova team defended well. They held Michigan to 62 in the finals.

You guys don't play defense

SD St beating Ala was not a fluke. They got punched in the nose.
UConn was pretty good.
What are we talking about?

The best team often doesn't win the championship. This happens in the NBA, NFL, etc.

That's the nature of a tournament.
