I'm not saying the OP is a fed . . . . but this is the kinda thread a Fed would start.

458 socom. I load subsonics shooting 500gr hornady dangerous game bullets from a suppresor and it will plant the largest of hogs dead where they stand easily shooting through both shoulde blades.

Interested in an 8.6 BLK SBR but I know realistically I will never drop the cash on it

How do you like it? Next on my list is an M1A Scout I think.

I love it. You lose some flexibility vs. an AR platform but it's still a great shooting gun. I love the peep hole iron sights, just something I grew up shooting with.

Me too, I have a SBR large frame lower for a 308 already I just need to build a upper but I want to see if the caliber sticks. I would also like to get into reloading one day so maybe that will help ppr.

I love mine. It shoots like a laser. My son has killed 4 deer with it. The 90 gr fusion rounds are deadly on a whitetail. I found ammo during COVID at midway on sale for .32 CPR. Recently a guy in Bayou shooter sold me 600 rounds for $250. Been able to stockpile 1000 rds.

What ammo is readily available? You can afford. That would be my advice.

6.8 SPC, both with ARP barrels 18" with pulsar Trail XP50, I'll occasionally get a hog to just run into the neighboring place (I'm fine with that) I'm shooting 110 Sierra Pro Hunters loaded to 2.295" In that one

The 22" Triad I'm shooting the XM68 90 gr Gold Dots. I bought the crap out of them when Palmetto had them from 9.99 down to 6.99 I've Chrono'd 3114 with those. 4-16 Nikon Black on that one.

Safe queens are a Rock River 20" bull barrel stainless 223 wyld and a DPMS 16" 5.56 with socom profile.

6.8 SPC ,ARP barrel,
Built by Ironworks with silencerco hybrid can. Wanted something bigger than 5.56 for Deer, and love the .277 Dia for bullets. Tack driver. Just wish it had as much love as other calibers with cool names.

I have:
300BLK - short, quiet and enough to take out hogs at close range.
6.5 Creedmoor in a AR10 chassis - for sniping hogs across the pasture.
5.56 currently with a 22lr conversion - for the kids and secretly my fav to shoot.

Why do so many AR owners have boating accidents?

Because ARs are so unsafe they spontaneously fire and blow holes in the hull of the boat!!!

The 8" 300 BLK I ordered should be here tomorrow.

Should I Form 1 it or get a SBA and hope for the best?
