Just you, son.

Yes they are worth it. Kids are the best thing that ever happened to me.

If you don't consider them as something that will one day pay you back, yes.

Zero regrets. All the cliches about not knowing how much you can love until you have children are true.

You either don’t have them or are a shitty human if you’re asking that

They bring meaning to your life. The joy of your child’s laughter is the best.

Not for everyone.
Be prepared to both hurt more and love more than you ever have or thought possible.
First time the kid raises their arms up and says, “daddy!”? You’ll melt like a bitch.
First time the kid is hurting and you can’t do anything about it (think shots at a doctors appointment)? You’ll melt like a bitch.

No.
I get the most joy out of watching my kids accomplish things. As well as teaching them new skills and watching their interests grow in certain areas. It's pretty wild watching them when they are toddlers figuring out new stuff and learning on their own.
But I've always been pretty patient around kids. I realize some don't have that patience and just want to do whatever they want. Those people obviously forgot what it was like to be a kid themselves.

I’ve personally never been drawn to parenting. I would have to work 15-20 extra years in life and that isn’t super appealing. I would give up a life of bouncing around to ski, climb, and see new places. I hang out with a lot of 30 and 40 something’s on a similar path. I think the choice to not have kids would be more difficult outside of an environment where you feel like you fit in and can get love and fulfillment in different, non traditional ways

Unequivocally yes kids are worth it
But they can also be extremely difficult and a huge source of stress at times.
I do not regret having kids. But I do sometimes feel like I shouldn't have had kids because of my own personal failings. Everyone thinks I'm a great dad so I guess I am too hard on myself.
