if your kid believed some dude over you, then you were doing something wrong somewhere, or maybe a lot of things.

i would suggest having an honest conversation about the things you did wrong and how you've learned from those experiences. if she can tell that you are sincere about the earlier times you fricked up as a dad, then she'll have no choice but to believe you.

but, you can't say a word about the goat roper or she'll run off again.
