Seattle High School Issues Handout Telling Children That Enjoying the 'Written Word' Is White Supremacy
Students in a Seattle English class were told that their love of reading and writing is a characteristic of “white supremacy,” in the latest Seattle Public Schools high school controversy. The lesson plan has one local father speaking out, calling it “educational malpractice.”
As part of the Black Lives Matter at School Week, World Literature and Composition students at Lincoln High School were given a handout with definitions of the “9 characteristics of white supremacy,” according to the father of a student. Given the subject matter of the class, the father found it odd this particular lesson was brought up.
The Seattle high schoolers were told that “Worship of the Written Word” is white supremacy because it is “an erasure of the wide range of ways we communicate with each other.” By this definition, the very subject of World Literature and Composition is racist. It also chides the idea that we hyper-value written communication because it’s a form of “honoring only what is written and even then only what is written to a narrow standard, full of misinformation and lies.” The worksheet does not provide any context for what it actually means.
“I feel bad for any students who actually internalize stuff like this as it is setting them up for failure,” the father explained to the Jason Rantz Show on KTTH.

Which then helps the argument why uneducated folks need the government handouts.

These people are ironically making arguments that white supremacists use to prove they’re supreme.

It’s a tale as old as time: TPTB want people as stupid as possible. Stupid people are easier to control.
Resistance to the Gutenberg Bible is an early example.

I love how they've also moved the goalposts from equal opportunities to equity (equal outcomes no matter what). So working hard to achieve goals and actually earning what you work for becomes white supremacy because the person who didn't work hard wants the exact same outcome as the hard worker because the excuse is systematic racism. It's a never ending parade of bullshite.

I always answered the challenges of times I was at a disadvantage. Won some lost some but never blamed the system or process. Never the victim. I guess that's why I survived and enjoy a "Supreme" lifestyle. Oh, and I came from a not poor but certainly not affluent background.

Welp, sounds like we need to close all of these racist public schools and send all of the kids home to their parents so they won’t have to encounter the racist drivel that is written English. That’s the only way to really keep children from being exposed to written language, right?
I guess we should tear down those pyramids and all of those hieroglyphics in Egypt since that is written language, too.

So, being literate and trying to educate oneself is racist? Do they realize how blatantly stupid this makes them look? Their argument is that you have to strive to be illiterate and uneducated or otherwise you will have advantages over minorities, essentially grouping all minorities into the illiterate and uneducated group. This is what happens when the lunatic left tries to outwoke the current woke state.

Their goal is to reduce the world to a herd of illiterate, powerless tribes that fight over dwindling global welfare from the elite. Everything they push is aimed at making the world more stupid, more racist, more angry and more violent...but at each other, not at the wretched vermin orchestrating things.

Another incoherent argument made by irrational people without an objective standard.
Christians value the written word precisely because God’s revelation to mankind is preserved within the writings of the Bible. The message of salvation through Jesus Christ alone is found in the unchanging written word of God. It isn’t white supremacy to see the value of learning to read and write in order to understand God’s Word.

Ok. I'm done. They win. As a writer and reader and all-around lover of intellectual curiosity and things bigger and better than myself, I am going to stop apologizing for my white supremacy and just start asserting it. I now celebrate my whiteness and challenge the idea that I am not also superior in the "wide range of other ways we communicate with others". My whiteness makes me better at ALL of it. Thank you for recognizing that, you swarthy Seattle fricktards and assorted white self-loathing counts.

Let’s be honest, that’s the real reason they would wipe it out if they could.

The ink is black, the page is white
Together we learn to read and write
A child is black, a child is white
The whole world looks upon the sight, a beautiful sight
And now a child can understand
That this is the law of all the land, all the land
The world is black, the world is white
It turns by day and then by night
A child is black, a child is white
Together they grow to see the light, to see the light.
Ah yes, but that's so 1970's ... sigh.
