So technically you are correct, but you have to factor in the "give a shite" element.
Not really. I’m not arguing that college baseball is a nationally popular sport. Just that it’s way more popular than two sports that have 20% of the sponsorship. Hell, wrestling only just started getting any tv coverage at all in the last couple years.

Yes there are way more baseball games, but to say they love either sport mire than football is a stretch.

I don't think anyone disputes this argument.
Edit: Besides the one poster you replied to

As much as, not more. Baseball and football are tied for second at North Carolina.

lsusports.net keeps some decent stat sheets.

I don't know if FSU and Miami really fall into that category. Historically great programs. But not necessarily hugely attended on a regular basis (actual, not paid attendance). I would say Arkansas, South Carolina, Ole Miss, and Mississippi St. fit into that category more than FSU and Miami.

College baseball means nothing to colleges outside of LSU and Vanderbilt.
And for TV the general public cares about 2 weeks out of the year for CWS.

There’s definitely a market. They just don’t want to acknowledge it because it’s not catering to minorities or women like they like.

It ain’t a big money sport.

For example each team doesn’t have their own page where you can quickly click on and see the schedule, stats and roster. You can only see each game breakdown which is ok but not enough if you ask me.
Here’s your chance to make bank, get after it.

They don't cater to it because people don't watch it. Turn on some of the games with teams not in the SEC, including some schools you named. Not everything is political.
Nobody watches women's basketball either and ESPN is all over that like flies on shite.
I think there's actually room to grow and profit in college baseball with better marketing.

oooh, we're pointing out poor attendance at FCS conference level schools?
ok, cool.
LSU baseball averages enough fans per game to crack the top 20 in FCS football.
several others would be in the top 30 too.
if these schools can't drum up 10,000+ fans for football, do you really expect them to put up massive numbers for any other sport?

When Michigan was producing Barry Larkin, Chris Sabo, and Jim Abbott people were caring for it, but it never was more popular than Michigan Hockey.

Y'all realize that even in the SEC a majority of schools lose money on baseball, right?

Believe NBA forced them. WNBA coverage is part of NBA deal.

I quoted that specific figure in response to a poster who said this:

Pretty sure college baseball is not only popular in the southeast but also pretty popular in Texas and California which are the two most populous states.
All those random CA teams like Fullerton and Irvine have decent enrollments. Not to mention all of the Texas and Oklahoma schools.
