Since most truckers are either Russian or Middle Eastern. I think the loads will pick up on time and deliver on time.

This. Trump supporters work and pay taxes. Save a little. Have assets. They don’t want to lose anything. I understand. It’s not bad enough, yet.

Exactly what I was thinking.

I have delivered and picked up around NYC for years. Neve in NYC proper. Bunch of BS.

I hope a significant number of them do this and there is a major impact.
I wouldn't want to drive a car much less a rig into one of the big cities, anyway.

This is totally made up. Truckers don’t get to decide not to deliver a load. What are they going to do, steal a truck load of goods?

It won’t be a complete stoppage of course but:
In reality only the independent truckers will have the freedom to participate in a boycott like this. Only 16% of truckers are owner / operators but there are also independents that lease the trucks but don’t work directly for a trucking company who also have freedom on what loads they take.
There won’t be a huge stoppage, but
if they can get enough participation to cause shortages, they can still cause some significant pain.

You might not endorse it or think anything will come of it, but it definitely isn’t “made up.”

Tell us you don’t know anything about trucking without telling us you don’t know anything about trucking.
Independent truckers refuse loads all the time. They’re always picking and choosing which are the best ones to take. And if you knew anything about truckers, you’d know they absolutely hate delivering into places like NYC.

Uncle was a cross country trucker.
I thought I wanted to be a trucker years ago and took me on a summer trip to teach me how to drive a truck.
He drove inside NYC mostly Brooklyn to deliver products.
Those routes paid well back then.
He taught me about how to factor you cost of lumpers especially in NYC, tolls, and extra time it takes to bring trucks into NYC.
He also drove some loads for local well to do people in the solid waste industry that paid really well.
Those always went to Brooklyn for some reason or New Jersey off the beaten path.

My dad was a trucker most of his adult life. Retired at 76 years old. Millions of miles driven. He hated driving the northeast in general and NYC especially. Most people have no idea what it’s like to maneuver a massive 80-foot tractor-trailer weighing 35,000 pounds and hauling another 15,000 pounds or more (federal rules limit tractor-trailer weight to 80,000 total). Now imagine doing that in Manhattan in the middle of a workday. Once he got seniority at his company he refused to take loads to NYC.
I learned early in life that truckers feed and clothe the country by bringing those goods to market and if they stop rolling for long, life gets very uncomfortable for people and even more so now because most people are completely dependent on the supply chain to survive. They couldn’t grow a row of corn or slaughter a pig or hunt and shoot wild game if their life depended on it. Haven’t stocked any non-perishable foods or frozen food for an emergency.
I hope they shut that city down and Judge Engoron can’t get his food and meds.

I tend to agree.
Doesn’t mean some truckers aren’t rethinking NYC deliveries tho.
To completely dismiss the reality that real decisions in this regard are indeed being made is somewhat delusive.

What the heck ?
Where did I say anything about “a nation” speaking?
Or about Trump, for that matter?
Some of y’all are a tad disingenous.
