For years, the only way into Detroit was to stop at the 76 Truck Stop outside the city. Get delivery instructions to the warehouses and dump the loads there. That adds a shuttle cost and storage cost to everything going into the city.

Someone will truck it in.
Just be at a premium which will add to the cost of goods inside NY.
A lot of these people walk and depend on public transportation.
I would sit back and charge a NYC upcharge, toll tax fee, and NYC legal fee, to all my loads going into the city.

Bet these truckers’ final straw was when Biden said they had to help pay off student loans for the purple-haired Women and Gender Studies majors. That or help pay for Zelensky’s new beachfront property and luxury vehicles.

Disruptments of anything going in or out in a major metropolitan area can be felt immediately
Take a city that a lot of poor people are already on edge bc of shipping in of illegal immigrants and taking up of resources on top of that & you have a recipe for disaster
Miss a few fresh food deliveries and some trash pickups & we could see some more summer of love videos out of NYC
