Yeah. It made no sense to leave him on the bench while routinely getting beat by double digits over the last 16 games or so. There is a reason he was your highest ranked recruit.

He is a poor defender. Even the last play was a late close out that gave South Carolina a decent look. But he’s your best shooter and has the length to make tough shots at the rim. You HAVE to play him and run plays for him. You then figure out throughout the gam what moments you can live with poor defense and which you can’t

Don’t let the fact that pirate king has the iq of a prune stuck in a vacuum cleaner get it twisted: im glad we won and i do hope MM has us dancing again soon. I’d love to see it. Just not fangirling out and told you so’ing folks based off one game

If we can just get reed to be second half reed 75% of the time he makes the team much better. Especially if baker has a tough game.

Also, if we can incorporate good Jalen cook in with today's defense/ late run offense we have a chance to close our strong.

Reed is an enigma. He has the size and skill to be a great player. His ceiling is peak Trendon Watford. But FAR too often he looks lost and disengaged.

Good win for the Tigers. Once we got down 16, we had them right where we wanted them.

Good for the guys to finish it off and get a nice road win over a ranked opponent.

Watching the game, I'm sitting there trying to figure our Reed.
Then he decides to play like Tarzan. That is how he needs to play, aggressive.
And man Ward has a sweet jumper.

Wow. Great win. Wish now I would have tuned in. I hope they can get to the place where these comebacks are not necessary but beating the number 11 team on the road is a signature win for MM and MBB.

As others have said, USCe isn't some great team despite their record and ranking. I think we should have a chance to get an SEC road win, which we have 1 in that last 2 seasons.

Hell yeah Drizz and guess what? We outrebounded them. Thanks Hannibal!

Love Hannibal but let's be real. Often times our guards have outrebounded our bigs. It's unacceptable.

There goes the McMahon can’t pull upsets argument. On the road at #11.

And I hope this is the end of any Hannibal hate. The guy has been our most effective PG most of the year & lays everything out there every single game.

Keep telling ppl we are close & just need a more complete/complementary roster.

But to build in recruiting you need these wins — Really wish we’d finished against UF last game, but this is a big one.

Oh I totally agree, but it's the reality. So you gotta find a way to board if your four 6-10 guys can't and today we did we won the rebounding stat by 5 and as with all of our wins against teams with comparable talent this year....it has been the difference.

As I've posted before....our leading rebounders this year in rebounds per minutes played are Hannibal and Wright...and by over a rebound a game in that stat than any of our four bigs. That unfortunately at this stage of the year is what it is...ain't gonna change.

Baker and Dean aren't all of a sudden gonna get good hands, and Reed and Fountain ain't all of a sudden gonna get physical and fight for boards.

It was obvious Hannibal was told go in and help. He and Wright and others will have to continue that.

We still have a basketball team? I thought they suspended us when we had to fire Will Wade. Woody is a vagina for firing the best basketball coach in LSU history.

Baker has terrible hands and zero explosion. He’s never been a good rebounder and it won’t start now. Dean is physical. He can rebound, but he’s limited to dunks/put-backs offensively. Wright is a solid rebounder. I’m fine with Hannibal crashing. He is tremendously athletic and if he isn’t going score then he can definitely help on the glass.

We knew rebounding was going to be an issue before the season. It’s not going to get consistently better now. Just have to figure out ways to work around it and maximize what you have

I get what you're saying Driz but there are guys in this thread saying things that make it sound like they are disappointed LSU won. If they don't want people to think they are rooting for LSU to lose, they need to quit sounding like.

That is definitely not me and you know.

Oh yeah, I know it ain't you.

You and me both, brother.

Been called bad names by both sides.

I get that. Most of the guys I have issues with are long-time... what's the word I'm looking for...trolls, maybe or at least instigators.

There also seem to be a crap ton of either alts or new posters that seem to be more interested in stirring poop than enjoying the games. I guess I need to let it roll off my back a little more.

Anyway. Wins in baseball and basketball is always a good day.

This is a winnable game for the Tigers. Despite being #11, the advanced analytics aren't in love in SC.

Nice call. 17 downvoters showed just how miserable they are.

Agree with all of this, but I gotta say Baker is one of the most frustrating players I’ve ever watched in my life.

If the guy has just one of the two things you mentioned & better defense, he’s an all American.

Dude can barely dribble, can barely hold a basketball in his hands, somehow manages fantastic PPG. Really takes one-dimensional to the next level.
