So you don’t know what fraud is

Ayn Rynd indeed.
The mayor is too stupid to think beyond tomorrow. But the governor damn sure should worry about Wall Street contemplating a move, huge, huge liability if they stay.
And no its not just Trump, remember the mayor just filed a lawsuit against all the on line companies, the larger ones.

Bernie Madoff? Yeah he hurt a few people. He owed investors about $57 billion and only $2.6 billion was available to repay the victims.

What exactly did the taxpayers pay as a result of this?

Will be appealed. In the end, I hope Trump and every business owned by his family sues the state and wins billions.
I'd prefer that the crooked judge and AG go to prison for violating Trumps rights under the color of law.
quote:
18 U.S.C. § 241
Conspiracy Against Rights
Section 241 makes it unlawful for two or more persons to agree to injure, threaten, or intimidate a person in the United States in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured by the Constitution or laws of the United States or because of his or her having exercised such a right.
Unlike most conspiracy statutes, §241 does not require, as an element, the commission of an overt act.
The offense is always a felony, even if the underlying conduct would not, on its own, establish a felony violation of another criminal civil rights statute. It is punishable by up to ten years imprisonment unless the government proves an aggravating factor (such as that the offense involved kidnapping aggravated sexual abuse, or resulted in death) in which case it may be punished by up to life imprisonment and, if death results, may be eligible for the death penalty.
Section 241 is used in Law Enforcement Misconduct and Hate Crime Prosecutions. It was historically used, before conspiracy-specific trafficking statutes were adopted, in Human Trafficking prosecutions.
MISCONDUCT BY LAW ENFORCEMENT & OTHER GOVERNMENT ACTORS
18 U.S.C. § 242
Deprivation of Rights Under Color of Law
This provision makes it a crime for someone acting under color of law to willfully deprive a person of a right or privilege protected by the Constitution or laws of the United States. It is not necessary that the offense be motivated by racial bias or by any other animus.
Defendants act under color of law when they wield power vested by a government entity. Those prosecuted under the statute typically include police officers, sheriff’s deputies, and prison guards. However other government actors, such as judges, district attorneys, other public officials, and public school employees can also act under color of law and can be prosecuted under this statute.
Section 242 does not criminalize any particular type of abusive conduct. Instead, it incorporates by reference rights defined by the Constitution, federal statutes, and interpretive case law. Cases charged by federal prosecutors most often involve physical or sexual assaults. The Department has also prosecuted public officials for thefts, false arrests, evidence-planting, and failing to protect someone in custody from constitutional violations committed by others.

I'm by no means an expert, but I believe he can operate businesses in any other state. What I'm less than clear about is can he do business with any banks that are licensed to operate in the state of New York.
The way NY is going, it's going to be a dead city ala detroit in another decade. Get to FLA which is booming, that could be the new money center of the East Coast if not the US. Plenty of ports, better weather, a desire for business, etc.

NYC judge says Trump cannot be trusted to run a business there for next 3 years, and will have a babysitter to oversee him….and he wants to run our country for 4 years……r I g h t!

Not even a pretense of justice. No one was hurt, all lenders had the opportunity to do their own evaluations, an attorney general that announced while campaigning she was going to get Trump. Now an order of dissolution, this is right out of Joe Stalin's handbook. frick these bastards.
I'd rather see them locked up like they deserve.

In a bombshell pretrial ruling, Engoron granted summary judgment on James’ main cause of action — that the defendants committed fraud in violation of New York law.
So decision was made before trial ever happened.

Engoron also ordered the cancellation of the defendants’ business certificates and the appointment of an independent receiver to manage the dissolution of Trump’s corporate entities
How can a judge order cancellations based on a civil fraud ruling? I feel other agencies would have to be involved on that process

Oh no! A New York judge said it?? Well I guess that means Trump didn’t already spend 4 years in office making our country BETTER, unlike your hero Joe who has made people’s lives worse in his 3 years.

The dumbest post ever posted here. Excluding the wasted payroll for government employees and the costs of the trial, what did taxpayers pay?
You equate this to Bernie Madoff? I hope you are not in charge of finances even in your own household.

Can he do this under this ruling?
Yep. Just re-situs all the entities.
