Food for a family during Lent

We picked next Friday to provide food for a family that needs a little help right now. Im pretty sure they dont eat meat on Fridays so any idea of what we could provide? I was thinking of a shrimp pasta dish or maybe a few catfish dinners from a local church. The kids range in age from 9-16 and I just know my kids are very picky with seafood.

A big batch of shrimp pasta would be easy to make and reheat. Fried fish is not so good for reheating.

Stop off at MBS and pick up a few Fish Dinners....

Can you ask the family what they enjoy eating?

Just check to make sure no one in the family has a shellfish allergy.

A family of 5 that includes mom, dad and 3 kids can get well fed on 4 lbs. of fried shrimp, fries, cole slaw or potato salad and some type bread-----hush puppies, King's Hawaiian Rolls, Texas Toast, etc.

Maybe a big ole bowl of fettucine alfredo with a container of blackened shrimp on the side.
