Coming to BR this spring. Want to take the wife out for our anniversary dinner. Something nice and represents BR and the culture of south La.

Roberto’s?
I’ve heard good things about Louisiana Lagniappe, but never been.

Seriously though Mansur's is good balance between local flavor, and ambience for a nice anniversary dinner.

Maison Lacour would be my top pick https://www.maisonlacour.com/
Mansur's
Louisiana Lagniappe
Beausoleil

Little Village
Mansuers
Stab's
Stroubes
I do not like Louisiana Lagniappe because it's incredibly overpriced for small servings in a lackluster atmosphere, but the food is good.

How big an ole boy are ya?
Unless something has changed recently, serving size has never been an issue for me (and I’m a big ole boy).

If I'm paying $30 for a plate I expect to be overfed.

Really nice place for an Anniversary Dinner.

Roberto got arrested recently. Apparently he was getting kickbacks from kickbacks from the police chief in St. Gabriel, who was taking catering invoices and falsifying them to get more $$$.

I am the complete opposite on this. We just went to La Lagniappe tonight and it was great. Crevettes were awesome. I don;t know how you can say it's overpriced and small servings. Everything is overpriced these days and serving size was good>
The only thing I agree with is Mansurs. Nice place. Not a fan of LV, Stab's, or Stroubes.
But Maison LaCour would be my top choice for an anniversary dinner.
