You never see people walking with canes anymore

I just realized I haven't seen anyone walking with a cane for a very long time.

Growing up in the 70's/80's you'd always see people walking around with canes.

Do people still use them?

They all get morbidly obese and have a Medicaid provided mobility scooter these days

I think old folk tough it out for as long as they can and go straight to a walker.

Wife was using one prior to having her hip replaced and a short time afterward. That surgery is amazing.

My mother needs a knee replacement..She is hell on wheels with that cane..

Between scooters, knee/hip replacement and other therapy they aren’t as prevalent.. that being said I saw a person with a cane today, and now that it’s in my mind I’m sure I’ll see one tomorrow.
