1) Panic At The Disco - Pretty. Odd. Absolutely phenomenal album.

2)My Chemical Romance - Black Parade. Again, phenomenal album.

None

If I like it, it's my choice.

Scene Queen

Firehouse

Falling in Reverse

Simple Plan

Good Charlotte

Limp Bizkit

MCR - Danger Days. I love Three Cheers and Black Parade (which is a masterpiece of a concept album/rock opera), but Danger Days is pure over the top cheese. Yet, I still enjoy it.

Kind of like fricking an OT2. Fun but you don’t want your friends to find out.

Abba

Great pick. I’m not a big fan of disco, but you don’t have to listen to Abba very long before you realize that they’re really heads and shoulders above most other artists in their genre. There’s a lot more complexity to their songwriting and scoring than most other bands of their era. Not really my thing, but I can completely understand why people like them so much.

I think a lot of people immediately think of Dancing Queen and Take a Chance On Me. If more people really listened to Name of the Game, Knowing Me Knowing You and SOS, some minds would be opened. The chorus harmonies on SOS, OMG.

ABBA made some disco tunes. Most were not. They were mostly pop. Disco is distinguishable by the cymbal lick on the up beat. shite, I need a Venn diagram.

ABBA is not disco and is of extremely high quality.

This! I would be listening to an ABBA album, in a good mood with the beats and harmonies. All of the sudden, mood killer Fernando starts playing and just ruins everything.

Lisa Loeb - I'm not ashamed at all, but I think most of you
would be. She's made some great music.

That's a little crazy. Those are on my workout mix, along with Hey, Hey Helen. Abba is almost 10% of that playlist.

One album that I listen to over and over again from start to finish is Teenage Dream by Katy Perry. I'm not exactly "ashamed" of that, but you might not think someone my age / sex would even know that album.

Early morning before the Saints played in the Super Bowl, WWL was playing songs that people at the station and listeners thought were appropriate to the Saints finally winning it all. The two I remember are "At Last" by Etta James and "Lonesome Loser" by Little River Band. I thought that was pretty cool.
