also i appreciate them rolling all their diversity into the blind gay black albino dude. nothing wrong with the character at all, but just funny to put them all into one single person.
I forgot to add, that reminded me of Keyland on MTV's The Challenge. He proudly reminds us every five episodes or so that he is a mixed-black, autistic, pansexual man with ADHD. Every time he says it I silently curse society for making being a retard trendy.

If Kyland's autistic, he got in by rounding up (or down) whatever score gets you on the very far end of the spectrum.

I’ve started episode 1 four times and can’t get through it. I never finished season 1 and looks I wont get past episode 1.
This show is throwing production cash in the toilet.

What is it you find so abhorrent that you can't sit though the entire thing? Just curious, genuinely

Talking, talking, talking with a forced story that has nothing to be interested in. The whole show is 6 minutes of great looking Covenant action then just nonsense.
Walk into room, argue over something, walk out of room. Repeat.
You enjoy it?

this is not entirely incorrect. and i've been bitching about space politics since episode 3 in S1.
But...this season does actually seen to be leading to some action. i will say that S2E2 made me think they were about to really get somewhere and they F'd us over with a Spartan/ODST mexican standoff. but the rising action of E3 has been pretty good, despite my complaints.
E4 is my Rubicon. If you end E3 that way and don't have an entirely climactic E4, i'm out.
It is called "Reach" so there's hope.

I’m going force thru E03 to give it a fair chance. I’m hoping you’re right. Halo world has huge potential. With the amount of cash they’ve spent it should be better.

I’m pretty sure I read some commentary of the season from Pablo and he mentioned episode 4 being the standout episode of the season.

Isn't that what all drama is though?
Yes, I'm loving the show. I enjoyed Season 1 but felt the issues in it. I'm loving Season 2.
If I wanted 60 minutes of just great looking covenant action I'd just play the game. I'm loving the show because it's a great space drama set in the Halo universe.
There's nothing particularly wrong with either of our opinions.

I’m going to mildly push back on this for the sake of semantics and the LOLz.
In the 80s and 90s we used retard for pure stupidity. I grew up in west Texas amongst a very politically incorrect group. Despite our flaws, making fun of mentally challenged people was not our MO. Retard was a word reserved for mornic people alone.
That being said, people on the spectrum but still living full and healthy lives is a real thing. I’ve made a bunch of jokes about myself having a bit of the ‘tism and my wife and I had real talk about how I definitely have some aspects of it.
My main issue is people leaning into it as a crutch (which I think you’re criticizing) as opposed to being better.
I grew up with absolutely 0 social guidance or interactions from some weird parents and learned to self-correct in my teens.
My pushback isn’t that we made retards acceptable, I’m a living breathing testament to letting the weird autistic kid grow out of it. But that we let true blue ‘tards act out their idiocy without mocking them relentlessly.

I hope we get to see Soren and Halsey interact a bit before the fall of Reach.
And I think that was the Arbiter who was being translated by Perez.

The impending doom is certainly there now, hope they don't frick it up.
It seems possible that some of this season could take place on Installation 04, but I could also see it being a season-ending reveal.

I think ending the season with the Pillar of Autumn arriving at 04 would be perfect because it would give them enough time to properly show the fall, but I’m not going to complain if we get there soon either. It is somewhat of a bold choice to spend 2 seasons getting to Halo in the Halo show, not counting the visions from season 1.

Know nothing about the game, enjoyed the first season.
I actually know a fair bit about the game (even played it some back in the day) and the original background story. I enjoyed both the game and (much of) season 1. I knew it would/could not be an exact representation and considered it an alternate universe interpretation. The only thing I absolutely despised was the weird side story with the Asian colonial chick. If they just do a re-edit and cut all of those scenes alone out, the show gets better reviews and higher ratings across the board - even from the ones who didn't like it overall. Fortunately the creators got a hint and eventually weaved that garbage out as the 1st season went along. Leave that kind of thing out for good, and I have high hopes for season 2.

For me? The app seems to lock up when playing ads. Happened so many times in yet to finish the entire episode.

I don't know anything about the game other than dudes in mech suits shoot lots of aliens.
I enjoy the show. It's a cool world/set design and decent acting. Also the marine girl in this season does it for me.
