An improvement over season 1, but they still need to work on the side plots. I actually don’t mind the political aspects because ONI was always interesting to me, probably because I’m a big fan of world-building. Kwan wasn’t as bad as season 1, but it’s still rough to go from the Spartans to her.
It doesn’t look like they will be waiting long to start the fall, because they are headed to Visegrad relay, the first level of Halo:Reach.
Cortana looks weird, but I guess it’s okay since she changed models in every game pretty much. The voice actor is the same.

I liked the first season, but I don't play video games, so I had no preconceived notions about Halo. I doubt I'd have watch it if I'd known it was from a video game. Just looked like sci fi to me. Watched the 1st episode of Season 2 last night. May wait until there are four or five of them so I can watch a couple a night. That's the way I watched the 1st season a month ago.

Opening scene of episode 1 was great but afterward that ep1 and 2 are a total snooze fest. Same shite as last season.

Was hoping they would forget about Kwan.. worst character ever. The actor sucked too.. other than that, really enjoying it

New episode is out.
It took me a while to get used to him, but I think the actor that is playing Keyes is killing it. The scene in the morgue was my favorite of the episode.
Kwan scenes are much better this season, but it’s the Riz scenes that are taking their place. But I don’t think there will be much more time for dinner parties.
They definitely teased us with the Visegrad relay, but at least we ended with a bang and have all the plot lines now on Reach.

I agree but they need to get to it now. Rizz and the gay couple just didn't fit. It felt like Rose and Finn's sidequest. We need a pay off in fhe next episode

Meant to say this earlier but did Perez’s brother ask MC in episode 2 if he played a game called something like Spartans Attack? If so, I’m pretty sure there is a Halo-like video game in the TV show about the game.

also i appreciate them rolling all their diversity into the blind gay black albino dude. nothing wrong with the character at all, but just funny to put them all into one single person.

I thought the same thing. I'm not even mad.
As a reader of all the books, I'm very interested in the idea of "failed" Spartans who were maimed or otherwise disabled by the augmentation process.
In the books, one of them even succeeds Parengosky as the leader of ONI.

Yeah I like the character/actor and it’s good for Riz’s character to see about life outside of Spartans, but it was like a dei exec said “look, we absolutely have to check these boxes. Get one person to get them all and make them capable.”

In order:
Halo: Fall of Reach - origin story of the Spartans ending with the Covenant arriving at Reach, taking the plant, and Master Chief and Cortana getting the frick outta dodge
Halo: Flood - Master Cheif and Cortana arrive at the Halo facility, shenanigans ensure, ends with them escaping the Halo Ring and heading back toward civilization
Halo: First Strike - covers the battle on the surface of Reach including Castle Base and Master Chief and blue team destroying Uneven Elephant after they find out the Covenant know where Earth is and is rendezvousing for the assult.
