maybe so, but you're always on the progressive side of an argument & supporting the current administration/party. you're not fooling anyone. you're a typical NOLA progressive

Limit the number crossing and determine asylum eligibility at the border. Y'all aren't fooling anyone, you just don't want Biden to get any credit for solving the border crisis. How about this, pass this bill, and then go from there? It's better than having nothing. Unless, of course, you want to run for president on the current administration not doing anything. God forbid the other party actually get anything done.
This bill doesn’t solve the border crisis. Any bill that sets a numerical threshold for enforcing the law and barring entry for illegals is a nonstarter for me. Every part of the bill gives the executive WAY too much discretion. The administration isn’t enforcing the law right now, but they’re going to use their discretion to tighten border security? Yea, ok.
That’s without even addressing the fact that the “immigration bill” is actually just a foreign aid slush fund with a lip service border rider.
Yes, doing nothing and simply enforcing existing law is preferable.

Please see thread about Mike Lee's issues with the Bill. It lays it out very clearly the problems with the bill. It basically codify's an open border and gives the admin the ability to do whatever they want.

That is an absolutely retarded viewpoint.

He’s helped CREATE the crisis.
Just don’t want Biden to get credit…
As Joe himself would say, “Cmon man”.

That isn’t moderation, it’s progressivism.
And again, if you support this legislation because you want “something” done or because you read what it offers and agree with it, you aren’t a moderate.

Besides, not one penny of any so-called "border bill" should be allocated to Ukraine, so that part is a non-starter.
And THERE it is. Putin's reach is long. He's controlling you through Trump, who's been bought. It really doesn't make any sense that Republicans would be so anti-Ukraine otherwise.

Its amazing how the politicians and big media continue to gaslight us on the bill when we can now read the bill ourselves.
What organization can I donate to that will seek to primary every single REpublican that has hands in the drafting and support of this bill?

you're a progressive but just too embarrassed to admit it on a message board. sad but you're probably used to being in the closet. it's ok to admit it Flamin

When did this talking point come out? Because I was told on good authority, that this was a problem even before Trump took office.

How come none of you are talking about the main problem, people crossing the border LEGALLY seeking asylum?

Did you read the act? Do so if not, it was interesting to see how misled we've been by the MSM and both parties.
Its language is wholistic and refers to any and all aliens, which as defined by the act includes asylum seekers and grants the president the right to stop them in place at his discretion.
In other words he can pause all of it in place immediately by a simple proclamation. They would be stopped in place where they are the moment he did so.

During the Cold War, did Eastern German's wanting to enter West Germany have to proceed though Checkpoint Charlie, or could they just cross the border any way they could find?
Not a single fricking one of you people is addressing the main problem of people crossing seeking asylum.

Why do you want the two items tied together?
Why not address the two via separate legislation?
If they are both so critical why would you want debate on one to hold up the other?
