When did this trend start? On women, I can kinda see it since it meant to stimulate lust provoking, but it seems now you're a boomer if you just smile. I don't know about you, but I don't want to see anyone's disease-ridden mouth.

In a stressful, intimidating, or high-pressure situation, dogs may yawn as a sign of submission to show that they are not a threat. This is often followed by looking away or lowering their body. This reaction is an attempt to diffuse any potential conflict and capitulate to the dominant party.

dudes doing that "I'm so silly" open mouth pose and chicks doing that "this is a totally candid moment of me laughing" pose are equally cringey.

I know a few male and females who do this and it bothers me.

You show me a heterosexual male with facial hair and a proclivity to open their mouths for pictures, and I'll show you an arrested adolescent who spends hours a day playing video games, is addicted to porn, and struggles with depression.

I’ll say a lot of these guys would be cringey picture takers either way. They are doing it because they don’t know how to smile like a real human.

The millennial facial hair with open mouths. Every single one of those douchebags drinks craft beer and promotes feminism.

I bet at least 10% of them are Furries or Bronies or some other weird sexually deviant shite.
