As I was scrolling down my Brave browser news section this morning, I saw this headline and seriously thought it was The Bee. It was a little strange because I don't read it, other than seeing it posted here. I clicked the link, turns out it was a CNBC article.

I guess it was just funny to me because for one, I had no clue there was a democratic primary happening last night and for two, let's be honest, there is actually no democratic primary happening. This headline is your typical BS to help try and prop up a candidate that is just a likely to croak by November as he is to beat Trump (according to polls)....
quote:

President Joe Biden won a landslide victory in South Carolina’s Democratic primary Saturday, where voters sent a clear message that they are ready for Biden to pivot to the November election.

As of 12:00 a.m. ET, Sunday, Biden had won 96.2% of ballots cast, with 97% of the total votes tallied.

The other two Democrats on the ballot, House Rep. Dean Phillips, D-Minn., and self-help author and 2020 Democratic candidate Marianne Williamson each won around 2% of ballots.

The win injects fresh momentum into Biden’s reelection campaign, and it offers a compelling rebuttal to the narrative that Democratic voters are ambivalent -- or worse -- about their party’s standard bearer.

“In 2020, it was the voters of South Carolina who proved the pundits wrong, breathed new life into our campaign, and set us on the path to winning the Presidency,” Biden said in a statement following Saturday’s results.

“Now in 2024, the people of South Carolina have spoken again and I have no doubt that you have set us on the path to winning the Presidency again — and making Donald Trump a loser — again.”

There's a few different articles I've seen like that this morning, but I'll spare y'all by not linking the rest.

Incumbent Democrat wins Democratic primary in which he’s on the ballot with two candidates whom practically no one knows.

Here's the numbers. It can all be debated, of course, but this is just what's being reported...

Joseph R. Biden Jr.
126,350 +96.2% - 55 delegates
Marianne Williamson
2,726 +2.1% - No delegates
Dean Phillips
2,239 +1.7% - No delegates

The SC primary launched Biden’s terrible floundering campaign in 2020. It’s basically a black voters primary because that’s who the democrats are in SC.

If there’s one thing this might hint at is black voters aren’t as dissatisfied with Biden as polling has tried to suggest and they will still vote in brainless lockstep with him in 2024.

2020 vote total was closer to 450k-500k with Biden getting 262k.

I know this was a low turnout primary but that is a hell of a drop.

I've been more interested in the turnout numbers rather than the polls. I just find it hard to put much into the Dem turnout in these primaries because I don't think turnout would be as high as it would normally be since Biden is going to be the Dem candidate regardless.

That said, we know Trump supporters will turnout no matter what. It'll be interesting to see if he can start to bring the party together and start drawing in some independents/moderates. Trump's biggest issue will always be people voting against him instead of voting for Biden.

I really can't believe Dems are actually going forward with Biden. Their level of NGAF is pretty impressive, I must say.

We're an open primary state. There are 300k democrats who held out yesterday knowing full well Biden would win .... that 300k will vote for ##TrikkiNikki in the Republican primary.

All black democrats voted for Biden.

All white democrats will vote for ##TrikkiNikki in a few weeks. It's a strategy play that's going-to backfire on them. They're running around whispering about it as if it's a great secret.

So, Biden wins a primary against himself by getting about 2% of registered voters, how dishonest has the MSM become? Exactly which one of Biden's dumpster fire policies is he running on?

If so, that's weak sauce.

You see how the media used the percentage in the headline compared to showing the actual number (head count) to come up with the percentage. So misleading until you look at the real numbers. You can make a high percentage out of a low number.
