Isbell sound was pristine. Stole the show. Turnpike vocals were too low in the mix and electric guitar was over the top loud. Still a good show but fire the sound guy. He is beyond bad.

Couldn’t even hear the fiddle for half of Turnpikes set

Isbell sounded great.
Turnpike sounded great and then seemed to get worse as it went on. I thought some of what I read leading up to the show was overblown but their sound guys really do suck.
All in all I still very much enjoyed the show and it was good to see Turnpike again. Last saw them at Hogs for the Cause however many years ago that was.
Also caught a couple of songs from Black Joe Lewis at The Blues Festival as we were walking to River Center. That dude was killing it.

Glad I only paid $7 (+ fees, of course) for the ticket. Turnpike was on my to see list. Lots of folks enjoyed it way more than me.

Enjoyed the hell out of it. It was electric, but as others have said, the sound wasn’t great. Several people had complained about the sound from other shows. That’s strange why it keeps happening. Isabell’s sound was clear as a bell. With TT, you couldn’t understand the vocals, and couldn’t hear the fiddle. Still had a great time, just don’t understand why that keeps happening.

I thought the same. TT sound was way off.

For all his faults, Isbell is a perfectionist. I appreciate that about him.

Isbell sucks
He’s a cultural relic that caught the interest of dbt fans when the internet still existed but he’s outstayed his welcome. He’s not that good at guitar and he can’t rhyme more than 1 syllable.
ETA: turnpike really sped through their old stuff
It felt like they didn’t want to be there

I was on ythe floor about 10 rows back. Mistake ... Isbell sounded great. The TPTs sounded muddy. I was getting too much fiddle and could bearly hear the guitar. And it was freaking hot. Plus about halfway through the show, the isles were filled with "amature" drinkers who spent more time yelling 'Yee Haw" at each other than watching the show.

Isabell’s sound was near perfect. I don’t remember him talking much, but I was surrounded by obnoxious drunk frat and sorority kids taking selfies, making tick tocks and talking the whole time (stay off my lawn), so I couldn’t make out mich of what he said.
TT’s sound started off good, then dipped. I don’t understand how that can happen.
But, can we all appreciate the glory of Turtles’ set?

Evan seemed to run out of gas about 3/4 in.
Their opening with Shreveport was so dang sped it up, it was unlistenable.

Isbell sounded good. No politics, appreciated the Dickie Betts tribute at the end. Guy in front of me said they did 20 minutes of Elizabeth Reed the night before.
TT 'S sound was bad. You couldn't hear the drums or vocals, but the bass was reverberating the whole time.
Overall good show, I just can't understand how anyone couldn't tell the sound was bad.

I didn’t get that, but maybe my alcohol had settled in by then.
Crowd was more into than any show I’ve been to in a long time. Looked like the floor was standing up the whole time

All in all the show was not worth the price of admission. The sound was terrible. I bought my tickets last minute and I still over paid.
Bought mine at the cage. $45 and we just set up at different locations throughout show. Also for a ticket stub which I haven’t gotten one those in probably decade
I wish there was more than one merch table
ETA: RiverCenter is a shithole

I can assure you I’m no amateur. Had some fat frick sitting in my tenth row seats after I went upstairs to see some friends and had to fill the aisle. Was that you?
And it was hot, yeah

Isbell's show was great. The sound was very good and he really impressed me with his guitar work. He should have opened for TT. Their sound was off and it was really obvious after listening to Isbell.
And the drunk, frat douches were a PITA. I don't mind them being drunk and getting into the show. But damn, stop spilling beer all over me. When I asked him to stop spilling on us, he got belligerent with us. We just moved because I'm too old for that shite but I wanted to light him up. A show with potheads is so much more enjoyable than a show with drunks.
