For all who want to trade BI for Bridges

Sobering news, Marc Stein reporting that the Nets won’t even consider trading Bridges to the Rockets for Jalen Green. If they won’t trade for Jalen Green, there is no way they’d even consider trading Bridges for BI

Have you seen Jalen Green play?
I wouldn't trade for him either.

I don’t know about that. Green is definitely capable of being a flamethrower.

He's a chucker
a ballhog
not a team player
and on top of that he's inefficient overall, and pretty shitty from 3, 33% over 3 years.
He's a terrible defender
There's a reason he's in trade talks. It's b/c Houston doesn't want him. They are a better team when he's not on the court, and that's been the case all 3 years.

Im conflicted on Green. I think he has enormous potential but he hasnt put it together. Still is really young and houston didn't do him any favors his first 2 years

I think he's a sixth man

Don’t think us pelican fan have really any room to talk lol. The guy absolutely kills us at home.

Jalen Green was watching end games on the bench while Tari Eason closed ahead of him before Tari got hurt. A lot of rockets fans are fed up with him

You’re not wrong. The problem is hes just on a different timeline than the Rockets are. Udoka wants to win now. Jalen Green still needs time to develop and understand how to be better- there’s potential there for him to be really good but again the issue is what team will have the patience to let him develop.

I'm not real big on waiting for someone to develop, especailly draft picks that high.
If you can't see the obvious signs early on, then they are highly unlikely to ever break out eventually. Not saying it doesn't happen. Jalen Brunson is an obvious outlier, as is Kawhi. I'd lump in SGA in that too. Difference is none of those guys had the expectations of the #2 pick. Top 5 guys don't typically take years to break out.
But most guys who end up being a great player, show those signs of greatness from the get go, and more often than not in a real big way in year 2. When you're a top 5 pick, the signs of being great should be there from the get go. It shoudlnt' take 4+ years for you to be a really good player.
Jalen Green seems to be on the Andrew Wiggins career trajectory, and that assumes he's got a level head and can recognize what kind of player he needs to be in the NBA to be successful. Maybe he's a 3rd or 4th best guy on a team, or even a prime Jordan Clarkson. Highly unlikley he ever becomes even the #2 on a good team.

Why would anyone compare Brandon Ingram to Jalen Green?
What has Jalen Green done?

Have you seen that compilation of the shots he puts up? They are horrible.
No way would the nets trade bridges for that.

There is no way the Nets trade Bridges for BI right?!

Fairly obvious that, at this point...it would take quite a bit more than JUST BI...to get Bridges. There's a "price"...where Nets would consider it...just doubtful the Pels would want to pay that price. By the way...to get the trade done...I'd even throw in...Rollo Tomassi !!

Well played Mulberry…….well played my friend.

Heard Tomassi hurt his leg, but he could be faking it...

I originally wanted to do HollywoodJack but would have been mistaken too much with one of those Los Angeles dbags. Rollo is a bitch to keep up with running off picks, in a motion offense he’s hard as hell to catch.

clicking clack or something like that

In all seriousness I’ve always really liked Bridges game going back to Nova. I would love to get him here but you guys are right it’s gonna take another good piece along with BI and maybe more. I honestly didn’t know this was ever discussed until I saw it here and just commented on it because it was a guy I’ve been following for awhile. Of course, I thought BI was going to take a huge step forward this year so what the hell do I know?! The issue holding us back in my opinion is Green, but he’s going nowhere since we’ll win just enough if not more so but will never reach our full potential as long as he’s here. It pains me to say this because he seems like a good man off the court.
