0% chance we go into fall camp without DT additions.

Summer down. Offense could be REALLY good. Defense can't get worse

Didn't do any homework on our new DC did ya? Base package is typically a 3-3-5.

Did you?

Baker ran a 4-2-5 at Mizzou.

With one glaring exception: Our inexplicable refusal to schedule a rent-a-win before wading into a tough OOC opener.

You're wasting your time talking logic to the naysayers. I've been saying it is almost a given that Paris Shand will move to DT. Mike Detillier said the same thing. And S Jones is not fast enough at his weight to be on the end anymore. But hey, these people who keep acting like LSU doesn't have any options at DT don't understand football very well.

Agree that there are naysayers that are hard to talk with on here. The sky falls pretty often.

I don't think Savion is slow. He could move inside, but a lot of his problems last year were repeatedly not setting the edge and a seemingly lack of effort. The edge thing is poor technique and was baffling. It is hard to understand why the coaches and he did not correct this all year! I thought he was going to have a breakout year, and it never happened. IF he gives the effort, the new coaches might turn him into the player we thought we had.

Savion and or Shand could move inside. We have a juco signee and 5 star freshmen that will both get reps next fall. If it’s just those four and Guillory/Lee six months from now then it’s a concern

Shand could possibly move inside.

Why do people keep saying that savion Jones could move inside in the sec?

He can't and he won't. They will get 2 maybe 3 guys out the portal. One is the juco Muhammad.

The personnel on the defensive side of the ball is likely not championship-caliber

I wouldn't say the personnel is a finished product yet but it would take major development and improvement to be Championship Caliber as it currently stands. But I do expect to get a lot of young talented guys playing time to set the stage for 2025!

I love how you continually think moving two average players out of position from DE to DT solves all our problems.

Pete Jenkins in an interview said that he told Bo Davis that the returning depth and starters is a major issue. I’ll take his honest assessment over posters claiming otherwise. Still time to address it but there is now no room for error in regards to next season.

Not saying it can't happen, but it definitely seems a bit like whistling past the graveyard. LSU objectively does not have a championship caliber DT room. Could they develop one from position changes, spring transfer portal, and coaching from Bo Davis? Sure, but it is assuming a lot. You don't have to look back far where last year people assumed a 5* Corner, 2nd Team All-ACC corner, and former Ohio State corner would make our DB room elite - that didn't work out so well.

Didn’t we all know this?

This guy counts himself as an “insider” but I guess he’s just telling other fan bases who don’t keep up with LSU.

Somewhere in there is a gumbo analogy. Watching LSU's secondary, House definitely "burned" the roux nor were they "seasoned" veterans.

You people find one thing to hang on too and bitch about to no end. Do you really think with the AMAZING off season LSU has had they don’t have a plan to add some quality dlineman?? I mean seriously Kelly has made the perfect chess move in every offseason move but you people still think he has no plan for Dline. Jesus Christ
