The City of New Orleans would like to remind you to not be selfish this Mardi Gras

Because last year, there were a whole lot of d-bags out there.
There's plenty enough room for everyone to have a good time. There's no need for you meatheads to try to reserve an entire city block for you and your three kids, a week ahead of time.
Mardi Gras is about sharing and meeting new people. Enjoy yourself. Don't be a tard.
I walked in several city parades last year and the roped off sections were absurd... ladders blocking spots so that you had huge areas with just a few people... followed by open areas that were jam packed with humanity.
It's a shame government feels the need to step in because some of you people don't know how to act.

Mayor LaToya Cantrell's administration is planning to enforce rules on paradegoers setting up tents, tarps and other equipment far ahead of when Carnival parades are set to roll, part of a renewed push this year after residents and some city officials complained of a free-for-all a year ago.
Michael Karam, director of the Department of Parks and Parkways, said in an interview Friday and in presentation materials submitted to the City Council earlier this month that convoys of city workers will be out on the parade route early and often as Carnival kicks into high gear. Starting in the early morning hours, and with support from the New Orleans Police Department, crews from his department will be enforcing the city's prohibition on setting up tents and other gear more than four hours before the parade.

Damnit...guess I need to miss another one.

A 14 year old was shot and killed yesterday in Gentilly Woods.
Let's send the cops to pull up someone's tarp.

Sidewalk side for life. The neutral ground is a cesspool of trash from surrounding parishes.

Why not just make it look like a homeless set up?

My only issue is the people in the front blocking off access to the street on those who are set up behind them.
Beyond the ladders already along the curb, they will use chairs or ice chests to block the the lane between them and a totally different group next to them.

Of all the things for the city of New Orleans to care about…this is what they care about

I'm just gonna stand in the street in front of all the kids

Why do you make this thread every year?
Just stay in Kenner and mind your own business
No one is forcing you to come to the City for Mardi Gras

I’ve got no problem with the city doing this.
Groups of try hards go out there and block up the entire route and then have full blown meltdowns when people try to walk through the neutral ground because their stuff is getting stepped on. They leave no access to the street because they lay down ladders, tents, ice chests, etc and tie them together.
I hope the city comes through with a fire hose and blasts all that shite into the street.

I’m confused.. we're ashamed of Latoya actually doing something?

Teedy just bothering white people having fun while the city is in shambles. Of course you support it though

yes, give your hard earned dollars to the thugs roaming the streets. Don't resist, just hand it over and don't get shot.

As a New Orleanian, I strongly recommend you avoid New Orleans during Mardi Gras.
I’ll be in Breckinridge that week.

Pop up tents are everywhere now. There will be 6 tents with no one under them.

Bummer. Looks like I'm missing out on another year of no vomit to walk through, no weed smoke being blown in my kids faces and no countless n-bombs/f-bombs radiating from the blown, broke-arse PA speakers.
Y'all have fun. Enjoy the stabbings and broken car windows. And remember: "Laissez les bons temps-piss in the streets."
