Coolest Job(s) You Ever Had....?

As the title says..... what are, was, or is the coolest or most fun job you ever had? I know we all have had some jobs that really sucked arse, but we all I'm sure had a job or two that we really liked being at. Hell it could even be a job you didn't necessarily loved but you stayed because of the people. I for one had a few. I'd have to say being in the Army was probably my favorite as I have so many stories and experiences I could share. Being deployed to Afghanistan and doing a tour over there was a pretty crazy experience. I once met a guy in the Army who once tried to put a candy bar in layaway! ?? Anyway, what experience's or stories do you have that you can share?

Assistant Park Ranger at a state park in Maine right on the Atlantic Ocean.
I loved everything about it. Being outdoors all day in one of the most beautiful, rugged environments. Meeting tons of nice people. Great coworkers. Very low pay but the trade-off was worth it.
I highly recommend it, and would do it again in a heartbeat!

The Army was too much of a mixed bag for me. Lots of fun but a healthy dosage of suckage too. Even training FTXs can be a serious drag. A week without sleep, decent food and humping all day punctuated by sweltering heat, pissing rain and millions of creatures hell-bent on devouring you one microscopic bite at a time.
The most fun I had at a job was teaching rock climbing at a summer camp. In general, the kids paid attention and really enjoyed what they were doing and I got to play on rock all day hanging out with other like minded people.
I also really liked working on the line in kitchens. While a lot of the work sucked I absolutely loved it on the weekends when front of house was stacking tickets and the line went from seeing how much they could frick off and still look busy to this choreographed ballet with the ovens, grill, and flat tops covered. The rush I got from watching food hit the pass and the tickets dwindling down was electric. While long hours and low pay have a lot to do with it I think a lot of the food service industries love of drugs is tied to recreating that rush.

I worked in The Pit (lower bay) at Jiffy Lube all through high school. Sure, it was hot down there, but I really enjoyed it.

Milking cows at the LSU dairy farm. It was hard work but very cool milking at 1am listening to the radio.

Camera operator for live sporting events, mostly the PGA Tour these days.
I like to tell people, "It sure beats working for a living."

Fuel dock & bait shop hand during highschool.
Made good money off of all the tips & got to be outside all day. Plus, the eye candy & being able to fish when it was slow.

Food safety inspector for the Dept. of Agriculture. Slaughterhouse work wasn’t exactly fun, but I got to spend half my day driving the back roads in a government car and I typically worked from ~5 a.m. to ~1 p.m. Monday - Friday.

I become awed at the skill it must take to catch a golf ball in flight, zoom in on it, then zoom back out with the landing area as a backdrop.

Was this with those large tube Ikegamis or chip cameras?

Worked for a short time back in the day at the EA Sports in BR as a tester for NCAA Football. Literally got paid to just play Xbox all day.

Coolest Job(s) You Ever Had
Flight Nurse / HEMS (helicopter EMS)
Best job ever. Many great memories, but also a shite ton of horrific ones.
Still the favorite part of my career.

On air disc jockey during my latter teenage years. During
the afternoons I played rock and on weekends played easy listening. Made $3.35 an hour.

Farm hand. All day on a tractor, followed by all day fixing fence, followed by all day lumberjacking downed trees, splitting firewood all day the next day.
It was totally stress free. I was in great shape as well. That was the good life.

Worked at a 36 hole golf course while in college. The amount of free booze and beers we'd get after a tournament was staggering sometimes, but pretty much got paid to move carts around, drink and play golf.
