We all know that this year is the worst year ever.

But the clown restaurant owners are comical.

Rhett's Tails And Shells Farmerville La - GREAT NEWS???? Our amazing Farmers have worked so hard to get us an abundant supply of Crawfish we can now GO BACK TO BEING OPEN OUR NORMAL HOURS & we have a price drop??

After 50 people asked for the "dropped price" and him ignoring he answers $12.99 a lb :)

Nate's in DFW "We got double of what we ordered so we are dropping the price a dollar and kicking off our Monday and Tuesday $1 off a pound special a day early!"

When pressed he finally states - we are dropping our price to $14.95 to handle the volume.

??

Seriously? Biden invented supply and demand?

Supply low and demand is high = high price

And what most people don’t know is a lot of the crawfish you see were actually quick frozen last spring when crawfish were cheap. They usually ship those to other states and countries but that’s mostly what your are seeing in restaurants here now,

It's been a couple of years since I've had crawfish. I mean I like crawfish and it's a fun social event but damn I'll just eat a filet mignon instead.

What is the usual standard price for crawfish by the pound? Just curious. $13-15 sounds steep.

I went to Rouses this morning to get some butter and a few other things

1 lb of Louisiana Peeled Crawfish Tails was $15.99

I didn’t buy any bc I already had some, but damn. 1 lb of crawfish tails can barely feed 4 people.

If that is the price for boiled, not sure what you were expecting. In Austin, you’d rarely get boiled crawfish for less than $9 or $10 a pound, and that was before inflation and no drought…

If something isn't the price you like then here's a novel idea... Don't buy it! That's why prices are where they are now because people don't know how to do without

They are worse than insurance companies. This is a Louisiana catastrophe that needs to be straightened out.

Catch them at the LA/MS state line from the Pearl River. They are abundant every year. May take a few hours but it's worth paying zero except for beer , nets, and bait. Anyone who pays $300 for a sack is a damn idiot. A smooth hundy is ridiculous. Drought my arse. Turn the faucet on to flood the ponds.

What did the owners pay per pound?

You do understand you have a choice in this transaction, correct?

So how much were they charging over what the crawfisher- men sold to them and how does that compare to what they normally mark up?
