Maybe like 1993 "Democrats", certainly not today's pro-war, pro MIC, pro big pharma Democrats.

And here I’ll note that this exchange started with me suggesting that the establishment flourished under Trumpnand you suggesting that was crazy. Now here you are defending Trump for doing big time establishment things because the establishment told him to and so Trump had no choice.

You implied Trump was actually the establishments choice candidate. Which is just completely asinine and incongruent with reality.
Your unwillingness to even pretend there would have been serious and potentially more dire repercussions for the actions you claim Trump should have taken means you aren’t really a reasonable or serious person.

I didn’t say that. Biden would be their choice candidate. I said Trump was hardly anti-establishment and in fact, the establishment Flourished during his presidency. I also pointed out that the establishment fricking with him has made Trump a hero on the Right, and brings the Republicans more into the fold.

lol - that sounds very Democrat of you.

Based on your post I have two questions, if you would -

Do you think the virus warranted the COVID response it got?

At any time in 2020, did you believe COVID was not far more a political weapon than an actual threat?

I didn’t say that.

Then what does this mean?
“And let’s be honest here, what has the establishment making Trump enemy #1 done besides make Trump the runaway winner of the Republican primary before the end of January?”

Of course not and Trump was always trying to downplay the severity for which he caught major hell and was nearly impeached.
However I know lots of people who feel the exact opposite and who remain terrified of Covid because they think Trump didn’t do enough.

I had my suspicions as many did but I didn’t have the lives of millions in my hands so it’s a slightly less risky gambit.

My turn to ask a question:

If Trump had thoroughly down played Covid, fired fauci and dismantled the cdc, how many charges of negligent homicide/manslaughter would he currently be facing?

Without a doubt, a match made in political heaven. Trump and RFKj will be perfect for one another.

Whoever the VP is cannot be old and can't be a democrat that will pack the court when they are President.

Put Bobby Kennedy in charge of gutting the health agencies that are politicized and corrupt.

There are many VP rumors this one is silly.

You can say goodbye to your guns if this happens. RFK Jr is totally onboard with an "assault weapons ban" and we know Trump won't stand up for the Second Amendment.

Actually he said he doesn’t want to take guns away. He said there is an assault on our constitution and that fans the flames even more.

I don’t know how much I trust him, but I don’t trust any other people either.

But also I don’t take this as meaning he is going to be the VP for sure.

quote:

Dr. Benjamin Braddock quoted RFK Jr. saying, “My position on gun control is that I’m not going to take away anybody’s guns. I’m a constitutional maximalist and the issue has been settled by the Supreme Court.”

YouTube video of him explaining his position

He’s offering up protect the schools because taking guns doesn’t fix the problem.

You think either would sign any bill that limited the purchase of any particular gun or accessory?

If Trump really wants to win.
All he has to do is make one call to California for his VP.
as much as I would hate it
A Trump / Newsome ticket would win the presidency in a landslide. Because if the DEMS were to lose California it's over
Newsome would bring California to Trump

You can say all these things but we are more or less stuck with Trump. Since he doesn't have another election post 2024, he can choose whomever he wants with no blow back. Republicans are locked in.

The real dividing line is collective vs individual

The left is collective, the right individualistic.
