Sure, but a Harris County jury would smack a Trump-like figure if given the opportunity.

You're certainly right in this respect. I only took issue with you trying to assert that liberal areas were more desirable than conservative areas because of who was more likely to live where.

And I'm explaining why this wouldn't work. The alleged tort has to occur within your venue. If the Defendant can show they were never in that venue, then it won't work. These lawsuits are working against people like Trump, Rudy, etc. b/c they are always present in these liberal areas.

No you’re giving a reasonable legal response. I’m not asking for that. Throw common sense out the window. This isn’t meant to be reasonable. You just have to have a judge and 12 peers with an agenda.

Doesn’t matter what she can prove or disprove.

Someone just got an 83 million dollar judgement for damages over defamation from an alleged crime.

What I’m saying is just start making shite up and stack the deck. Change the laws to where it’s not relevant if that person ever was in that venue or jurisdiction. Fight retarded fire with equally retarded fire.

Here's what gets me so they value one of Trump's biggest assets at 18m yet they're gonna put him on the hook for 83m? Besides the corruption of the trial I just had that thought this morning.

For a lawyer, you’re fricking retarded. That was the exact point of this thread. New York just kangaroo courted like a mother fricker. No facts. Only feelings.

My proposition was real simple. Why not do the same shite. Change the law. Go after the other party over bullshite unreal charges.

I’m glad you developed the reading comprehension skills 3 pages in to figure it out.

Adopting similar laws as NY and pulling the same kangaroo court bullshite against high profile democrat politicians?

The NY law already scooped up Cuomo and the NYC mayor as well as many other well known folks of various political stripes. But, to answer your question, nothing stops another state from passing a similar law.

I have explained why this would be difficult.

You rejected basic procedure when you said.

No you’re giving a reasonable legal response.

At this point, you're just having a melt or LARPing.

Change the law.

You're not going to be able to change venue laws.

Go after the other party over bullshite unreal charges.

You have to forum shop with a limited number of potential forums favorable to you.

Sounds like a possibility.

Then change the procedure too.

New York created a law that allowed someone to be held civilly liable for a crime that was never proven, hell never litigated in court. It’s possible. Is it probable? Probably not. I’m talking lawfare here. Im not talking about doing the right thing.

The reason that this tactic can be used against people like Trump, Rudy, etc. is because liberal areas are more desirable for conservatives to be present at a high rate, than the reverse.

The reason this works is your Rando off the street conservative respects the rule of law and would be really hard to get a jury of conservatives to frick a liberal over just because they did the same to Trump.

Progressives have no morals and they will ignore the truth, facts and the law to screw trump over.

You're not going to find many high profile liberal types outside of liberal areas.

Nancy Pelosi ain't going to Vernon Parish anytime soon.

So much of this stuff ain’t hinging on physical presence/contacts, it seems.

I don’t think this is ‘the way’ though.

That's how Rudy was dragged into DC and why Trump's civil case was in NYC.

I don’t think most conservatives on a jury would be willing to abuse the law in that way. Maybe I am delusional, but the average conservative doesn’t strike me as someone who would be willing to betray their ethics to engage in lawfare.

Too principled for their own good. Too worried about optics to defeat their opponents.
