Courses, historical events, etc is what brings eyes to golf. It takes someone as massive as Tiger to actually be a needle mover and worth any true guaranteed dollars or investment.

1st, a one time viewership doesn’t mean anything.
2nd There were big names at the top of the leader board
3rd Sam Burns was one of them. 100k could’ve been just LSU fans for all we know

Yeah shitty golf coverage has a lot to do with this.
There’s Augusta, and there’s everything else. PGA events just can’t get out of their own way.
