You guys don’t realize- unless Lebron asks you, you dont trade him. Its not JUST about basketball. Hes a money making machine- he automatically increases your team’s worth as soon as he puts on the teams jersey. In a business sense its absolute insanity to want to trade him.

I'm trying to think who the team would be that has the spare assets to give up enough to make it happen. They have to be a top 10 team and have assets to spare. Philly?

OKC by a landslide. But that will never happen.

Still, if bron got traded to the middle of nowhere it would make my year.

Eta...if we are talking draft capital and what makes sense long term for them. Not sure if they have the salaries to actually make it work

The Lakers are probably the only team besides the Knicks that could trade Lebron and not see a drop in revenue. They will always rake in cash hand over fist

They will always rake in more with Lebron than without him. Lakers have always been about stars- I highly doubt they would trade one of the biggest stars in the NBA still performing at a high level.

It may not be as black and white as you think. What if they already know that LeBron is leaving next year? They are currently tied for 9/10 in a 12 team race. So even making the PlayIn isn't a given.

If you don't have much faith in a playoff run, think he's leaving anyway, and can get a few players and picks for him, they might decide that this has run it's course.

Lol they’re not trading Lebron.

Only way would be if Lebron demanded it. He makes all the calls. He is not going anywhere IMO.

Did you really think Bridges was an option?

Yeah that team is completely built around Lebron. They went to the conf finals as a 7 seed because they have Lebron. Seeding isn’t a huge deal- again because they have Lebron. The Lakers aren’t a team that plans for the future. They’re built to win now and they’re not trading the only guy on that team that can lead them there and honestly is one of the biggest stars this sport has seen in Lebron. Also they’re struggling but they’re making the play-in and with Lebron will more than likely make playoffs.

Didn't he say he wants to play with Bronny? Isn't Bronny coming into the league soon? Lakers probably aren't making the playoffs and Lebron might be looking to move soon anyways. Might as well get some value for him now while it's decent.

Not if you've seen him play with USC

Bronny is not NBA material. Only way he gets a roster spot is if someone wants to appease LeBron.

What does everyone think about BI to Atlanta for Murray and Okongwu? Maybe throw in Naji too

Murray is on a good contract and produces similar stats to BI. Okongwu could be the center of the future.

ATL can keep ingram or flip him for more stuff. Either way it's more than the dog shite the lakers are offering.

Re-sign JV in the offseason. Sign Karlo and Matt Ryan

Murray/Dyson/Jose
CJ/Hawkins/Naji
Herb/Trey/Matt Ryan
Zion/Karlo/EJ
JV/Okongwu/Nance

A lineup of Murray Herb Trey Zion Okongwu would be awesome to see also

nah.
If i did, i'd want their 24 1st, and i'm not giving them Naji either.

I do'nt think a Murray/CJ backcourt would work well defensively, and i'm not sure how much we want Zion not having the ball in his hands and making Dejounte the main facilitator.
I think we would greatly benefit from a true PG, I just don't think Murray is that guy.

I wouldn't consider any deal without Jalen Johnson. Realistic or not.

How many true PGs are there in the league? I don’t think it’s that many.

To me it’s more about the money. Dejounte give you 80-90% of BI for a fraction of the cost. You also get an athletic rim protector in Okongwu.

Yeah Dejounte and CJ backcourt wouldn’t be ideal defensively right now but I’m looking towards the future and CJ isn’t a part of that.

Long term a lineup of Murray/Herb/Trey/Zion
Fits like a glove.

ATL wouldn’t give up a 1st or Jalen Johnson but maybe they would throw in AJ Griffin. He had a solid rookie year. He’s dealt with family issues this year and has been in and out of the lineup
