He'd just gotten back from walking his German Shepard at the dog park this AM. Pulled into his garage and parked his truck. Blew his horn for his wife. The paramedics got their not long after. He didn't have a pulse when they arrived. They got it back several times, but he ultimately passed on. He was one of the original neighbors who bought here 20+ years ago when it was built. He was the rock of the cul-de-sac. That was about 4-5 hours ago, and his dog is still sitting in the truck and won't get out. Me and several of the neighbors and his family have tried. The whole situation is tragic.

Dogs know something we don’t.

That is awful. Prayers for his family and friends.

Maybe we should start smelling each other's butts?

Sad deal for the wife. Be sure to check in on her periodically to see of she needs a helping hand.
And when Strannix saunters by with his usual Vaxxed joke, just tell him to GFH.

Sadly the dog will probably mourn himself to death.
Dad had a cousin that died very young and his dog jumped into the hearse at the church. The funeral director moved to get him out but decided getting bit wasn’t worth the effort. That dog died at his masters grave never leaving or eating the food he was brought.
Hard to describe that kind of bond.
Sorry for your loss Lonnie

Similar happened to my neighbor last year. Even though he was twice my age we talked a good bit almost every day. I'm still a bit depressed about it.
