Based on timeline, shooting at 3:47, NOPD showed up at 5:30p to work the scene, and for some reason we needed to know people walked around the police tape at 6pm?

So if you get pinned down in a shootout in New Orleans, you only need to hold them off for 43 minutes before backup arrives.

In the NOPD's defense there isn't a suitable police district within walking distance to prompt a quick response here. Plus all available resources were chasing 200 individuals throughout New Orleans East to help quell the uprising over there.

The potential minimum sentences depend on the type of gun and how the gun was used during the violent or drug trafficking crime. Under Subsection (c):
There is a minimum five-year sentence for the mere possession of a gun during the crime;

There is a minimum ten-year sentence if the gun is discharged during the crime;
If the gun is a short barreled rifle or shotgun, the minimum sentence is ten years; and
If the gun is a machine gun or a “destructive device,” the minimum sentence is thirty years.

Oh yea, I'm not bagging on NOPD. Those dudes have the shittiest job in America. It's an indictment on the state of urban America as a whole that those statistics don't even raise eyebrows or draw questions anymore. It's the wild west out here.
