The pro wrestling, Astronaut, cannibal chess, and Creature from the Black Lagoon scenes would be amazing.

Gone in 60 Seconds deserves to be on a best movies list. This & Shawshank Redemption are my 2 favorite movies of all time.

Ugh. I hated that movie.

But, in all honesty, it is one of the few times I can claim the movie is better than the book.

Hell, Saving Private Ryan came out after Forrest Gump.

So, the answer is no.

Forrest Gump is an incredibly overrated shitty movie. Anyone who loves that film is a retard.

By original, you mean based on a book?

Still remember how the book really threw you a curveball by not only being written as Forrest saw the world in his mind but the pronunciation and spelling of words as he went about describing everything in his rambling, broken sentence structure kind of way.

Now THAT was original as hell…. Took me a few pages to understand what was going on.

I remember thinking to myself that either
A) I had become dyslexic overnight or
B) This was the absolute worst editor/proofreader on the planet.

Seems like movies went to shite after that and remakes became the new trend.

Every year is a sucker for remakes or reboots.

I am eagerly awaiting for the following reboots or remakes:
Back to the Future Series
Jaws Series
Airplane Series
Naked Gun Series
Caddyshack
Back to School
Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Fletch Series
American Graffiti
Porky’s Series

Surely, you can’t be serious.

Yes I can, and stop calling me Shirley.

They already rebooted Fletch in 2022 with John Hamm in the lead. Confess, Fletch. It's a good flick.

Good list. I would add Platoon, Big Lebowski and A Few Good Men.

You probably think Will Ferrel is a good actor, too?

Forrest Gump = book = Excellent
Forrest Gump = movie = Drivel for the masses with no point

If the movie was like the book, this is who they cast as Gump

The dude with Nick Nolte in this pic

There are very few good movies now. Superheroes and remakes.
