Willie finally seeing the light? Hawkins is a star in the making.

Him and Murphy together is a beautiful sight.

Trey Larry and Jose are the playoff rotation. Would be incredible if Hawk can progress enough to get some
Playoff PT.

No. It will still be matchup dependent with Hawk. We are probably going to see a lot of Hawk when there is a match up we can hide him on. Also, Naji gives you a bigger wing to match up with defensively.

With all that being said, they have to find lineups where they can hide Hawk defensively. He needs to play.

The lineups with Hawk and Trey on the floor together is nasty

It’s garbage time but Naji is wrecking these scrubs.

6. Trey
7. Larry
8. Jose
9. Dyson
10. Zeller/Hawk/Naji/Ryan - based on game flow or matchup.

The kids hustles his butt off but he has all the typical struggles of an undersized (defensively) rookie 2 guard.

He struggles getting over screens.

He will have 2-3 plays where he blows an assignment (mainly on off ball switch rotations) that directly leads to the opposition scoring.

He sought out and attacked in iso situations where he is too small, weak, and has very short reach for his height.

But like I stated earlier, the kid isn't lazy and works on the defensive end. The hope is Willie will buy into his work ethic and the benefit he offers on the other end with his deadly movement shooting.

Get Hawk some minutes before the final stages of a playoff push... Naji is still ahead of Hawk bc of Defense.
We don't have a problem scoring... D is more of a side to watch and assess.

10-15 min of Naji is still optimal imo. He just does such a great job being physical and delivering the body blows necessary for the starters to finish teams off late in the game.

IMO, you should let Zion run first with the second unit and surround him with Trey, Jose and Hawk.

It's not bad due to effort and IQ but he just wont be able to overcome the size limitations in the playoffs. When offense slows down and becomes more half court, guys like Lebron, PG, Kawhai, etc. will get hawkins on a switch and drive him straight to the basket

There were a couple of plays in that 2nd quarter where Zion or BI would kick out to a wide open Naji or Dyson or Jonas, etc.. and they would eventually pass out into what is now a broken offensive play..

Hawk touches the ball with space he's trying to set the net on fire

Zion is usually too gassed to run first with the second unit. He’s getting in better shape but he’s not there yet.
