He was asking fans to donate to nil the other day. Makes you think if that was the line. This isn't the same game

Agree but space is a huge issue. For everyone. Those kids are gonna get spread across the country because of limited roster space at the programs they'd prefer. Hope we can find enough to fix the DL and CB issues. Gonna be interesting.

Not really, 11 of 27 are early enrollees. The remainder report this summer.

Classes did start today for what Bama calls Spring 1. They also have a Spring 2 semester which starts classes Feb 12th. I have no idea who enrolled in what, but I would assume the semester starting Feb 12 would designate them as an early enrollee as well.

Does the athletes that went and did bowl practice get the chance to break the NLI?

Still means any player that was committed can ask for release now. Along as they havent stepped on campus

Doesn't change those who are committed, only those who have signed. Commitment is not binding on either player or school.

I thought early enrollees typically enrolled for the winter intersession anyway.. in which case it would be a moot point. Am I imagining that?

Is there anything stopping early enrollees from getting in the transfer portal during the spring window??

Good question. What does NLI actually state as for length. When you think about it, it’s almost outdated. Unless it’s just for the first year once you start classes.

FYI:

Nick Saban announced that he would be retiring on Wednesday, and with the landscape-altering decision comes another potentially game-changing outcome.

The entirety of Alabama’s football roster has now been granted the freedom to move on from the program. Any high school recruit in the Class of 2024 can be released from his national letter of intent as long as they have not been registered as “attended” at the university yet. And, any active player on the roster now has a 30-day window to transfer to another program following the announcement of Saban’s retirement.

What about the school that is about to lose its head coach to Bama, and so on.

Alabama Spring classes started yesterday. I'm sure that had something to do with the timing of Saban's announcement.

Planned. Not a coincidence.
