@ESPN got 1.122 million viewers for Saturday's @F1 season opener @BAH_Int_Circuit, down from 1.318 million viewers last year, though the 2023 edition was on a Sunday.

That would be an actual likable driver line up at Merc.

Saudi Arabia's planned sports-entertainment city, @Qiddiya, releases new renderings and details of its potential @F1 track, including an elevated 'blade' section at a Turn 1 that would be more than 20 stories high.

Nice to see the Mario kart inspiration. Can we let them throw bananas too?

Merc is planning to release a banana peel upgrade package this summer, to help combat Red Bull.

Unfortunately, it will only be effective against Checo.

Looks like Danny Ric is the focus today after calling the Red Bull investigation "noise and distraction"....the internet warriors will be in a froth about that...

Anyways...FP1 starts soon

Red Bull with Max domination. Can anyone stay reasonably close over the season?

I used to keep up with F1 every season. I've just gotten busy in life and it kinda slipped to the back burner.

When I did keep up with it about 4 or 5 years ago, Mercedes and Lewis were dominating. They were taking P1 or P2/3 with Lweis and Bottas every race nearly.

For those that have stayed in the loop, what happened (if one thing or was it more of a slow change with several factors?) to spring Red Bull so far ahead of Merc the past few seasons? Because Merc was absolutely dominating and Red Bull and Ferrari were battling it out most of the time for 2nd in Constructors. If someone could give me a Cliff's version or point me in the right direction, I'd like to read up on what happened to spur such a drastic change.

Red Bull went all in before the cost cap and built an awesome car.

Mercedes got slapped with no party modes, push/pull steering camber adjustment got banned.

Max is an awesome driver and Newey is a genius.

Also, I think they're cheating somehow, much like Mercs push/pull and Ferraris Oil injection, its just that nobody has figured out how yet. Everyone in F1 cheats. Not everyone gets caught.

Probably some blacksite R&D facility somewhere. Similar to ExxonMobil making advancements on their lubricants, I figure there are 3rd parties incurring costs on their behalf.

Are we going tin-foil hat and Jos put her up to entrapping Horner to get him out?
