You mean like overtime close?
Yes. Like we tried to tell everyone before, a good defensive performance can keep you in any game. It’s a team sport. You and the committee denied that as any possibility. Without elite qb play, you said every game is a blowout loss vs a good team. You were wrong, and proven wrong

Only when Bama is concerned.

This whole thread brings up another aspect of college football that has been ruined, IMO.

How is it that so many non-Bama fans are out there completely sucking off the elephants?

This whole “support your conference” thing is weird.

I highly doubt OSU fans were out there screaming in defense or support of UM.

It is strictly a weird SEC thing, IMO.

They were a legit good team that won the toughest conference

The “toughest conference” that is *checks notes* 7-9 against non conference opponents, and *rechecks notes* 4-6 against the ACC? That tough conference?

You're entire argument hinges on fsu defense > bama defense. You pointed to lsu, a common opponent. That's your only data source for this argument? I mean, we can all see how shallow your analysis is if you're trying to pass UF's offensive production off as another data point...

I don't root for conference. In fact, I grew up on Big Ten football.

Tell me more about your singular focus on bama, though...

No no

I pointed to the entire seasons worth of data. You said that didn’t count because of 3 letters…….So, I then provided you with their defensive performances against the three letters SEC

Right and it was such an in-depth analysis you failed to mention that UF's lowest offensive production also happened to be when they played their backup qb.

Ok so let’s use the entire season like I started with. FSUs defense was better

Why is everyone focused on Milroe when the Batman o-line got absolutely eaten alive? Milroe had a poor game, but his protection was absolutely non-existent for most of the day.

Why don't you ask the teams to play each other's schedules and report back.

So you don’t like when entire seasons are used and you also don’t like when common opponents are used

It sure seems like you want to ignore any fact or data that doesn’t support your already decided on opinion

So since we can use actual games or anything that happens on the football field, what draws you to the conclusion bama had a better defense than FSU? Remember nothing that happens on the field can be used

FSU would have lost very badly & yes ratings would have been terrible

No they would not have been terrible. FSU Michigan would have done big numbers not as big as Bama but it still would have been big. FSU is not TCU the ratings would have been fine.

& Michigan pushed Bama’s d-line around all night too.

I think Michigan is the best team in cfb this year so who cares what team they beat?

No, I just have no use for your shallow analysis that intentionally ignores variables because they don't strengthen your argument.

I've actually never made that statement. I've cast doubts on your definitive statements. Why do I need to defend a statement I've never made?

A Florida fan taking about shallow analysis when Bama struggled and needed a miracle vs freaking Auburn that lost by 20+ at home to NMSU the week before.

Why not look closer that Bama barely beat UGA playing with two players at WR and TE running on one leg or an atrocious refusal to review a clearly incomplete pass on 4th down that led to a Bama TD right before half.

They didnt get it right. Georgia was probably the strongest non sec championship winning team ever and did not get in. There have been several less deserving non champ SEC teams that have been included.

Committee got it 100% right. FSU is not better than Texas or Bama. Bama earned their way in by beating UGA

UGA is better than Alabama, Texas, FSU, and Washington.

Should they have gotten in as the 1 seed?

The disrespect is going to a 12 team playoff. The committee got it right in shutting out FSU. The argument should have been putting in Texas over Georgia.
