You must have watched a different bowl game, it's a tougher schedule for sure, but I still think we can get to 10 wins, barring critical injuries like nuss.

This team is gonna be way better than most think. I say 9-3 with a possible 10-2.

With a Change at DC, plus a couple other key assistant Coaches gone ,
I can see LSU having a lot of Success

USC (in Vegas) - W
Nicholls - W
@ South Carolina - W
UCLA - W
South Alabama -W
Ole Miss - L
@Arkansas - W
@Texas A&M - W
Alabama - W
@Florida - W
Vanderbilt - W
OU - W

We have a Chance at 11-1

We know what a LSU Defense can do when Coached right, And Im confident the Offense can Score points.

Without Changes

Same Defense Schemes and Coaching

USC (in Vegas) - L
Nicholls - W
@ South Carolina - L
UCLA - W
South Alabama - W
Ole Miss - L
@Arkansas - W
@Texas A&M - W
Alabama - L
@Florida - L
Vanderbilt - W
OU -L

We know a LSU Defense when we see it, It sure hasn't been on Campus the last 2 years.
If LSU retains House, Don't expect anything different. Don't think our Offense will be as efficient without Daniels.

Sadly 6-6

10-2 at best 8-4 at worst and depending on scenarios and whole story I could be happy with 8-4

Ceiling depends on defensive improvement, I say we're probably looking at 9-3 again.

And I will add this- I'm okay with that. I said a year ago that getting Kelly was a big deal when expansion was announced; he's going to keep LSU stable at an important time. Hover around 9-10 wins, with an occasional run. We needed that after Orgeron destroyed the program... could you imagine being like Fla, sitting around .500 while we add two more playoff contenders to the conference? And Auburn isn't in much better shape, to be honest.

It's gonna take a couple years for the new pecking order to settle out; LSU needs to be consistent right now, not hot and cold.

9-3 at this point. Unknown defense with what I think will be a decent offense.

Bruv,

Do you even math? You edited your picks and still only show 11 games.
12 regular season.

Plus bowl, or playoffs

Another 9-3 UNLESS we can greatly improve our defense.

USC and OU matchups are intriguing. Hard to predict anything there IMHO.

If House returns I don’t see how we don’t go sub-.500. Everyone always feels good and gets positive after a win, but Wisconsin was a terrible Big Ten team whose QB passed for 7 touchdowns all year, and he torched our defense.

If we get a great DC and a great defensive staff, the sky is the limit and we’ll probably be in the playoffs. I will be seriously worried if BK doesn’t totally gut the defensive staff this offseason though

I get your point, but I'm going to defer to Kelly's take on this.

If House returns, then Kelly has decided the issue was the guys on the field, basically not understanding how to play within House's scheme. If that's the case, it might be as "simple" as House running a complex scheme that you don't pick up in 1 year... whether you are a transfer or an incoming freshman. But that then would mean the young guys will be ready next year, and the scheme will work a lot better.
In that case, there was always going to be a period of growing pains, and we just went through it.

The benefits of that, IF that's the case, is that the defense will be good as long as you keep a consistent group of recruits. More dependent on learning the system, less dependent on getting a few great guys. In theory, if you get a couple great ones into that, you might then have an elite defense in a year or 2.

8-4 - If major changes are made (House fired) on defense I could see 1-2 more wins.

USC (in Vegas) - L
Nicholls - W
@ South Carolina - W
UCLA - W
South Alabama - W
Ole Miss - L
@ Arkansas - W
@ Texas A&M - W
Alabama - L
@ Florida - W
Vanderbilt - W
OU - L

9-3

L OLE MISS (Again, no defense)
L BAMA (Close, but no defense)
L FLORIDA (Tough going into the swamp after a clash with Bama)

Could make the playoffs, but I doubt it. LSU will miss JD5.
