My neighbor is on the Board of Supervisors and I’ll keep this short. Take it as you want but they are definitely looking into Grubb at Washington and there is mutual interest. However there is a big push to keep Sloan and promote from within from the team and recruits.

Maybe they can get Grubb and keep Sloan?

Oh yeah my neighbor is Brian Kelly and he says LSU will win the bowl game by 21 points. I mean some of you people just make me laugh.

Kinda hesitant on this since he has zero ties to the south (for recruiting purposes) and apart from this season at Washington, what has he shown in previous roles? I didn't follow Fresno State close while he was there but I don't remember them having much offensive fire power.

This worries me because it feels like a "in the moment" kind of thing. 1 year sample size isn't enough.

Well, maybe Tuesday is a day where something happens because at that point either Grubb or Bo Davis will have finished their season.

I don’t know why any rational thinker would assume Sloan deserves a promotion after 2 yrs, especially when looking at his OC history as a schemer and play caller. Just give him a raise and continue to evaluate him. Perhaps when the next OC leaves he could be a better contender for the job at that time.

LSU doesn’t need to take risks. More times than not we’ve seen a promotion from within not work out. Nobody is entitled to anything especially at this level.

How much is Washington's offensive success is due to Grubb vs. Deboer, who was an OC before moving up to HC. Also, how much is due to Penix - I think Denbrock cashed in on Jayden's talent, Grubb may be doing the same.

Letting the inmates run the asylum never goes poorly. Good coaches and programs ignore these kinds of "pushes" and get the best coach available.

You don’t know shite and the guy on the board wouldn’t tell you anything of significance.

This is how we got Mike Archer, and that didn’t end well.

If Grubb leaves there, it'll be for a HC job. He already turned Saban down last year.
