Without a doubt

This isn’t a discussion. It’s a known fact. Are you paid to post?

After Kareem came in and worked with him, I’d say ‘yes’
Prior, he hadn’t jumped Stanley or even Geert.

Dude was like a cheat code in the paint. Best center I ever saw play the game. His size and speed were unbelievable. He could run with tge guards on a fast beak no problem.
He is one of a handful of NBA players to score 60+ points in a game without any of those points coming behind the 3 pt line.

Shaq was the greatest center.
Chris Jackson was the greatest/most exciting/most talented college basketball player that I’ve seen play college ball in my 46 years on this earth.
Pistol Pete was before my time, but he was a level or three more exciting that Chris Jackson, which is hard for me to imagine because Chris rocked the house. Had people camping out outside on the pmac ramps the night before our regular season games just to get in the building to watch the dude play.
I’m pretty certain that our most exciting times as LSU Mens bball fans are behind us. We had an overabundance of talent come through LSU in mens basketball from Pistol Pete thru Chris Jackson and Shaq. Set the bar too damn high and spoiled the fans like me when we were still young kids.

Geert Hammink was the best.
JK - Shaq, and it’s not even close. I just like saying Geert Hammink

WTF kind of question is this?
Posted on 12/30/23 at 9:27 am to OysterPoBoy
Yes. But…at first…Stanley was the alpha and then Shaw surpassed

Best player might be a question not center

Yes. Hall of famer. One of a kind. 'Nuf said. Who are the all time guards and forwards?
Mine would be Pistol Pete, Chris Jackson, Rudy Macklin, and Bob Pettit.

Reading this thread makes me really miss the good ole days of LSU basketball. It sucks what has become of it.

He was probably the best all around to play in college period so yea I’d say he tops LSU list.
