CEOs don't care about the long term future.
Neither do workers.
But both have jobs to do, and are rewarded appropriately.

I haven't evaluated every CEO or worker, so I'm not sure which ones are rewarded appropriately. There is plenty of fraud at the CEO level.

Socialist commies don't believe in merit. Imagine a worldview that considers it 'fair' and 'right' to compensate a brain surgeon (who completed 12 years of medical school) and the fry cook at Arby's (who dropped out in 10th grade) with comparable salaries.

I love these class envy threads.

You'll never hear Bernie or AOC go after celebrities for how much money they make. Should an athlete or singer be worth a billion dollars?

Well hello there, Mr. Nardelli. Welcome to the OT.

Yet you have alluded to the idea that the worker is getting the short end of the stick.

plenty of oil and gas executives paying themselves bonuses as the company files for bankruptcy and they lay off half of their employees

Do you know why they got these bonuses, outside of some Bernie Sanders uneducated drivel?
Oil executives are often paid on both short and long term objectives.

Socialists worship at the alter of celebrity.
This is an absolutely absurd statement.
While I despise them for other reasons, the Kardashian-Jenner family are literally the poster children for capitalism and have made money for being famous/infamous,
because their followers buy things they are associated with.

Progressive women do, but yeah..most socialists are more likely to worship a black tranny immigrant than a celeb.
Socialism carries infinite jealousy.

Because the CEOs that we are talking about are heads of publicly traded companies. So the are beholden to the shareholders and the boards. The salaries are nuts because the compensation is linked to the share price. A good majority of these CEOs come in with the sole job of increasing the value of the company in order to sell it or to buy marketshare by aquiring other companies.

And here we have the typical Wal Mart Republican…

I really just wanted to call all the clueless folks folks socialists. .
You use as a word you’ve been conditioned to perceive as a slur in a context that doesn’t fit.
quote:
If a person is unwilling to put down his or her vices, apply some work ethic and be a coachable employee then they may not be able to earn a living wage.
Obviously, because the only reasons people are unsuccessful is because they have vices, are lazy, undisciplined or want to back-sas their masters, uh, I mean bosses - who of course are in their position because of their hard work,
Self-discipline and loyalty.

There is a political group that uses the name Socialist, but actually has a non-economic radical agenda they tout.

Your post on the overrated three:

Money...
{your response}
frickin aye
If you need money to have fun, youre life is going to suck because you'll forever need more money.
People who can enjoy life with fewer resources > Those that need lots of money.
Using your logic companies should do their CEOs a favor and reduce their comp significantly making them better people.

I’m so glad you decided to say “she or he” and “her or his”. I’ve seen a lot of this kind of nonsense on the site lately.

Some workers do get the short end of the stick in our society.
That's just basically reality when we take the combined efforts of 8 billion people and then give half of all wealth created to 8 people and let everyone else split the other half.
