What are some good resources to learn about the carnivore diet?

Other than straight up Googling it, any recommended resources? Early 50's T2D and currently eating low carb, high fat but not necessarily keto.

I don't think he's a carnivore diet guy, but I know he's written about keto and it always seems to me that the name Gary Taubes comes up when someone mentions carnivore diet, say on a podcast, etc.
He might not be right on the button of the carnivore diet, but he's definitely in the neighborhood.

Vegetables aren’t bad for you. Don’t believe the grifters.

Dr Paul Salidino and dr Shawn baker are some good resources for information.
Look up their podcasts they did with Rogan .

Dr Baker is prolly best resource on this
But on the end you are gonna have to unfat frick yourself and make sure you eat in a caloric deficit no matter the type of diet you go on
And start lifting weights

He has evolved his thinking in the “animal based” diet which is carnivore plus quality simple carbs (raw honey, maple syrup, ripe fruit). He still avoids vegetables.
It’s much more sustainable and healthy in my opinion.
Then there is a natural progression into the wonderful world of Ray Peat.

Eat steak, eggs, beef, raw cheese, bacon.
People hate on it but the carnivore diet is like a cheat code in losing weight and building muscle quickly especially if you are 40 + years old.
It’s easy to follow and it works.

If you are going to eat carnivore, don't forget your grass fed beef liver and heart.
I would also add charbroiled oysters and shrimp, but I don't know if this goes against the orthodoxy.

Salidino is now just animal based. He eats fruits. Baker is probably the best right now.

Add in some raw milk if you can find it. Pretty easy in Texas. LA is difficult from what I hear.

A neighbor did the carnivore diet and actually lost north of 50 pounds. Amazing that it works that well.

YouTube Dr. Chaffee, Dr Ken Berry, Jordan Peterson and his daughter. There are also several who have been doing carnivore for over a decade, and look incredible. Just know when you start, expect some diarrhea 3-6 days in.

Bumping this thread.
Been on carnivore since January 2. Haven’t sh!t solid since then, but am losing weight. Would love to know what to change to poop regular again.

Could be a fat absorption issue, but also try to not drink anything around 30 mins before or after eating. If you are eating liquified rendered fat, try refrigerating and letting it solidify first.
As to fat absorption issue, I've seen people reference taking ox bile but I haven't looked into it myself outside of seeing it mentioned on some carnivore related Reddit forums.

When I did strict carnivore I had the same issue. TheMollusk posted solid advice on water during meals.
For me, once I added just a bit of fruit back, everything was perfect. Literally one serving of watermelon was the key to balance gut with diet benefits.
Years later, here’s what carnivore did for me:
1.) Taught me I don’t NEED vegetables. Now I just eat veggies I want and stuff from my garden, never feel pressure to eat veggies I don’t want.
2.) Taught me I love dairy and rather have it in my diet. Today most of my carbs come from dairy.
3.) Taught me how easy it is to eat 175g of protein, seems silly I used to struggle with that target.

Youtube is all you need. Youll find the science there, meal plans, recipes, blood work, 30 day, 60 day etc etc results, pros and cons.
It wont do anything crazy to improve/tank your hormone levels or make you burn fat 1000% faster. It will just eliminate inflammation causing foods, provide essential nutrition and regulate your appetite

I'm actually wondering, you do realize he lost weight because he was likely in a deficit? I understand that the carnivore diet might be a great tool to reduce caloric intake and eat tasty foods, but it's not a miracle.
Yes but what the carnivore diet does well is regulate your appetite so that you can drop the extra lbs without being hungry. Its actually difficult to consume too many calories on carnivore.

When I started, I also implemented a fast from 12-12. After the first week (when my body shock wore off), I ended up stretching that fast from 7pm-12pm. Truth is, I could probably go more except if I eat lunch when I feel like eating, then it will ruin my dinner time or make it so I won't even eat it. I try to eat dinner with the family especially now that the wife is also on it but without the fasting.
It also converts your mind from thinking of food as a reward system into just eating to sustain life.
