Got attacked in 1948 by six countries and won.

Got attacked in 1966 and 1973 and won.

Been attacked numerous times and won. If gaining land from people who attack you is a problem quit attacking them.

I thought Mo Jeaux was the most stupid idiot in this tread. But you’ve proven me wrong on that front.

This is from National Geographic

Marc Haber, a geneticist at the Wellcome Trust’s Sanger Institute in Hinxton, United Kingdom, co-led a 2017 study of five Canaanite individuals from the coastal town of Sidon. The results showed that modern Lebanese can trace more than 90 percent of their genetic ancestry to Canaanites.

quote:

The researchers also compared the ancient DNA with that of modern populations and found that most Arab and Jewish groups in the region owe more than half of their DNA to Canaanites and other peoples who inhabited the ancient Near East—an area encompassing much of the modern Levant, Caucasus, and Iran.

quote:

The new study suggests that despite tumultuous changes in the area since the Bronze Age, “the present-day inhabitants of the region are, to a large extent, descended from its ancient residents,” concludes Schwartz—although Carmel adds that there are hints of later demographic shifts.

Comparative studies that look at the Israelis and the Palestinians show they’re closely related to each other.

You’re just wrong on this one, you’re arguing a factually incorrect position

quote:

Blood Brothers: Palestinians and Jews Share Genetic Roots
Jews break down into three genetic groups, all of which have Middle Eastern origins – which are shared with the Palestinians and Druze.

Pretty sure Genesis is in Old testament.

You need to read some more. Since then Jesus cursed them for spawns of Satan and a branch was broken.
Jesus also provided a way back for them.

Christians need to pay more attention. Quit providing shelter from God's judgment.

Of course the Jews and Arabs of this area are close from a genetic standpoint. Over the generations there has to have been a good deal of cross-breeding. To point out the genetic similarities between the Jews and Arabs as an argument is like pointing out the genetic differences between New Englanders and Canadians. That doesn’t mean the Canadians can lay claim to Boston though.

The only people who were in this area before the Jews were Philistines. And they’ve been gone as a people for thousands of years. Today’s so-called “Palestinians” are Arabs who flooded the area while it was under first Islamic Caliphate and later Ottoman Turk rule.

This is the closest you have come to being correct about the Eastern European Zionist Ashkenazi laying claim to land they have absolutely NO CLAIM WHATSOEVER TO; by neither the land nor ancestry..

The same people are the Bolsheviks and Russian communists you would be condemning if you had any knowledge. You don't.

and you support this current genocide too (they perpetrated the 70 million murders of Russians. You are are a supporter of genocidal baby killers.

“Stolen land” is such a strange obsession…no one truly owns land unless they have power to keep it. So saying someone stole land is the same as saying someone lost land. If Palestine cannot keep the land that they claim then they don’t own it….each and every civilization has conquered someone else for control of land.

Well said.

It’s also why a lawyer will tell you that “possession is 9/10 of the law”.

If you invented a Time Machine and went back to this area during the age of Christ, you’d not find anyone calling themselves a “Palestinian”.

They didn't call themselves "Jews" either. People from Judea were Judeans. Jew also doesn't mean someone from Judea. Jew is derived/loosely translated from the word "Yehuda". The Hebrew word for "Jewish people" is Yehudim.
But the answer is unclear when the first time someone was referred to as a "Jew", but it's more than likely well after the birth and death of Jesus.
One thing is for sure, the people that live in Israel today, are not the same Tribe that lived there in the time of King David or even King Herod for that matter.
If "jew" means 'someone from Judea', what were the people from Israel called? Was King Jeroboam I not a jew, but Rehoboam was because he was King of Judah?
The truth is murky at best as to the origin of the word "jew". It's an English word, for one. Therefore it probably didn't exist until the Bible was translated into English.
We just associate the word "jew" with "Yehudi". In fact, nobody called themselves "jews" until the 17th century.

The Palestinians wouldn’t be so closely related to the Jews if that was true. You would see more distance.

The Arab conquest was probably a top heavy replacement of the elites, something like the Norman conquests.

Neither did the Jews.

They have always had a presence there

So your point is moot.

Besides, saying that they left, as though on a joyful, extended holiday is a disingenuous take.

In a normal setting, if the Palestinians became stronger than Israel, they could take over Israel.. or if Israel was stronger, they could forcibly remove the Palestinians from the land they occupy. But our empire has stretched its hand across the globe and we determine who gets what land..and forbid countries or groups from conquering others. After our fall, the idea of 'conquering' will probably become the norm again. As it has been through 99.9% of human history.

Again, I’m not. You’re just stuck in whatever your fricked up frame of reference is. One can’t objectively look at the settlement issue and state that Israel is not taking land from the Palestinians. To deny it is to admit that you have clouded judgement for whatever reason. Some of you are fricked up Scofieldian religious weirdos, some of you are Israel firsters no matter what.

I think we have to go back to at least pre-Rome, but I'm willing to hear how that's wrong.

It’s Roman. Hadran changed the name of Israel to Palestine to, tell me if you have heard this before, wipe Israel from the face of the earth.

Which brings about one of the present time’s great ironies. The same people lambasting the US as a colonizer is actually backing the ruling of one of histories great conquerors, the Romans, in the naming of Israeli land “Palestine”. And is also for the reconquer of that land.
