Willie ain't it. He never will be.
Problem is, our 2 best players probably ain't it either.
This is not a good basketball team. We either have a miraculous turn around or we're likely a sub .500 team after the January gauntlet.
There is no reason left to have confidence in this team. There just isn't.

Shel will we fire Willie mid season? I don’t see who does it unless Griff is shown the door as well. They aren’t given him another chance to find a coach.

This is not close to a contender.

It sucks that Willie is garbage and it sucks we couldn’t make free throws; however, it is unacceptable for that arse officiating to occur at the end of games. It ruins the damn sport.

Why did Jonas have to elbow the dude in the mouth. I mean you knew if something like that happened it would involve his arse. I’ve never seen someone get called for fouls in every fricking way possible

Marcus smart threw an elbow right across herb’s face and they didn’t call shite. It was stupid officiating. JV did nothing wrong. It should not have been called.

I keep saying it the Pelicans are too soft from top to bottom, too passive, too much smiling, too much beta. Willie is soft, he just keeps his arms folded. CJ is not a leader he's soft. B.I. acts like a prima donna, he's not clutch, he always looks high, always on the sideline smiling and whispering shii to Naji, with that dumb smirk. Zion is out of shape and a turnover machine. NAJI thinks he's the reincarnation of MJ & Kobe. Jonas is a walking foul, even in crunch time. Gayle Benson doesn't know how to run the Pels or Saints. Tom Benson is turning over in his grave.

This team has the softness of their coach.
Get someone who won't accept losing in the clutch, and it'll carry over to the players. A leader with that extra competitive gene will ignite the competitive spirit in others in crunch time. Our players don't have it yet, so we need it from the coach

We were up 10 when Willie pulled Zion at the 6:40 mark. He had 20/10 at that point. Zion came back in with :38 left in the third. The lead had evaporated. Zion came out again at the 7:20 mark of the fourth. Again, we were winning. Didn’t come back in until the 4 min mark and then we went to the Zion and Jonas spacing in the corner with BI trying to go iso 1 on 1. There was not ONE single action with Zion and BI together. We could have run pick and roll with either one of them handling with CJ and Trey spacing but instead we went BI one on one. It’s coaching malpractice. We lost. Willie sucks. These players are not being put in a situation to succeed. This game was terribly officiated but it falls 100% on coaching.

And that doesn’t even factor in no timeout on the last possession. We literally just lived this a week ago. Willie and this stupid staff learned nothing. Coaching malpractice.
