…that the next Pope hails from Africa.
Not because of any concern over diversity for diversity’s sake mind you but quite the opposite: it is very likely an African Pope will actually and forcefully promote Catholic doctrine.
Bishops in Malawi declare ‘blessings for same-sex unions of any kind are not permitted’
Bishops in Malawi have prohibited the implementation of the Vatican declaration on the blessing of “same-sex couples” and couples in other “irregular situations,” Fiducia Supplicans, which the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith (DDF) released Dec. 18.
In a two-page statement dated Dec. 19, members of the Episcopal Conference of Malawi (ECM) offered “clarification on the declaration on the pastoral meaning of blessings, Fiducia Supplicans” and stated that they prohibit the practice of such blessings in the southern African nation.
“We direct that for pastoral reasons, blessings … for same-sex unions of any kind are not permitted in Malawi,” ECM members said in their collective statement.
The Church leaders’ directive prohibiting the blessings “for same-sex unions of any kind” in the country follows a four-point clarification of the latest Vatican declaration….

I sometimes wonder what god this pope prays to, because it isn't the one from the bible I am familiar with.

Here in Alabama many of the conservative Episcopalians have bolted to Anglican churches under the supervision of African bishops.

The Catholic Church lost their way and credibility long ago. The Pope has been a false prophet for decades. The Vatican is controlled by the elites.

Amen brother.
I was praying that Bishop Arinzi from Africa would be elected instead of ratzinger.
Now I pray for Bishop Sarah of Africa. God help us.
Not my will but your will be done.

Can’t get past confession to a priest. Lord God Jesus can only forgive sin

It is pretty sad when you seriously have to wonder if the Pope is a real Catholic.

African Christians are the most based, for sure. Maybe equally with Chinese Christians.
I imagine Christianity makes a much bigger difference in your life when there's a decent likelihood you'll be raped, killed, or jailed indefinitely by the government just because you follow Jesus Christ.

Not a Catholic, but doesn’t the fault of the current pope lay with those who voted for him? How is he doing anything nobody expected? And supposedly they all prayed to their holy father to send them a worthy Pope. Well?

Actually you are correct.
The CC teaches that when the priest absolves me of my sin he is doing it persona Christie (as a stand in for Christ) it is Christ who forgives. We agree.
But you will say then I don’t need to go to a priest, I will go straight to Christ.
As for me, I go to the priest because its RIGHT THERE in scripture that the apostles were ordained by Christ to forgive sins.
“Whose sins you forgive are forgiven, those you hold bound are held bound”.

The cardinals of Latin America and certain European countries are at fault. They are commie sympathizers and voted him into the position.

I guess. Maybe they think they need to placate to a “wider audience“ in order to draw more “customers”.
Not exactly doing wonders for that PR problem though.

There are darker forces at work who seek to destroy(transform) the church from within.
Sadly … there is a “deep church”.
Everything we see today is by design.
Malachi Martin has been warning us of this coming disaster since the 90s. Rabbit hole territory here

Written by a Catholic what do you expect he would say.

Is there no American worth a lick?

I don't quite understand the hysteria among catholics.
A blessing is a favor or protection bestowed from God.
Why would being gay preclude one from a favor or protection from God?
Maybe the favor would be hetero thoughts.
Maybe the favor would be protection from STDs.
In a world full of sinners, I struggle to understand which sins preclude one from blessings and which ones don't.
