I have deleted my response to you out of fear of misrepresenting this complicated issue.
Suffice to say many bishops around the world refuse to implement this practice in their churches.

No worries.

I'm not trolling.
I was raised catholic.
There are a million sins and billions of sinners.

I'm looking to understand.

Did your parents not give you enough attention when you were younger?

That’s who forgives sin when one confesses to a priest.

As bad as Pope Francis has been there are many pontiffs throughout the long history of the Church who have been much worse.

Hysteria? More like disgust with this Pope. It’s about blessing same sex unions. It’s about two dudes or gals coming up and asking priest to bless their unnatural, immoral, sexual relationship. Normalizing sin to justify one's actions is a slippery slope.

Not about any individual asking for a blessing.

Conservatively I can think of 17 called out by name. Then you have other characters that were probably all sun gods that were de-deified by the priests and scribes in Jerusalem. Solomon and Samson are variation of the Canaanite sun god Shalmon. I mean come on, Samson even was born in Beth Shemesh (temple of the sun) and had 7 locks of hair that gave him super powers (like Helios the Greek sun god). Joshua commanded the sun to stop in the sky. Elijah rained fire from heaven on command. Enoch was taken up and “walks with god” (in the heavens) and lived 365 years. 365 is a very specific number related to the sun.

Solomon
Samson
Joshua
Elijah
Enoch

So make that at least 22. I’m sure I’m missing some others.

Cardinal Sarah would be a great Pope IMO, but I think he may be too old.

he is a list of Cardinals for Africa who would elect the next pope. However I think these may be out of date.

This pope installed 2/3 of the current cardinals that will select the next pope.

The next one is gonna be worse.

Fr. Mike is great.

He is absolutely correct. The church is currently comfortable and bloated and needs a renewal.

It is pretty sad when you seriously have to wonder if the Pope is a real Catholic.

The Jesuits need a renewal.

Would've been an excellent pick after Benedict resigned.
