Looks like Randy's short lived run as the best recruiter in New Orleans is over. Shocked I tell you. Shocked.

Anyone know what happened?

Not hard to figure out. Football is next. I can count how many minorities went to Newman to play basketball on one hand before he took over.

How is this any different than Catholic High of Baton Rouge getting their 4 titles (2 championships, 2 runnner ups) vacated from 2017-2020? Not that big of a deal.

Seems like a pretty big deal.
Catholic also has a foothold in Baton Rouge as the only big time catholic school in the area that has great athletics and academics. Newman has to compete with Country Day, St. Martins (to a lesser degree) and Crescent City (for basketball) when it comes to small schools with good athletic programs.

Blatant recruiting. Like Evangel level. Some of these kids were moving from other states. I think the picture posted above gives you an idea.

Shouldn't matter imo
NIL should apply to high schools as well

He broke the rules he should be punished, but I hate that for the seniors that can’t play in the playoffs. It’s not their faults but they get hit with the punishment

It is their parent fault who allowed them to be illegally recruited.

21 and 14 are the only ones paying tuition.

Catholics punishment resulted over Bonine being butthurt over Fertitta not playing his son. Funny how they were punished right after he graduated.

You must be mistaken. He would not have done that.

#11 has stories to tell.

So does every black kid at Newman play basketball?

It's funny because it's true.
