Drop him to 250-255. That’s big enough. Speed may come back.

I think a defensive line coach being present every day would certainly help some.

And he should shed a few pounds.

Teach him how to play the DE position. He looked totally uncoached most of the time. He tried hard but totally out of control and position.

I think poor coaching has a lot to do with several of our players just not progressing and improving. I can't name one defensive player in the last two years that has really improved and I attribute that to a lack of good coaching.

Put a shock collar on him and zap him every time he stands straight up at the snap of the ball. Then , zap him every time he loses outside leverage.
